Terri has been a most valuable part of our family. My daughter has flourished both emotionally, socially and academically in her care. Terri ensures that her planning reflects the needs of the children. She is kind, calm and nurturing. It is great to walk away and leave my daughter knowing that Terri cares about her wellbeing as much as I do. Terri provides a loving home environment with her whole family being amazing with my daughter. Sophie has been welcomed in to her home as part of the family. Sophie has learnt so many things with the experiences Terri has provided from attending play group, going to the library and museum trips. Terri has the most immaculately clean house that is set up with various toys and resources that children are able to investigate and manipulate. I would encourage any parent to have Terri care for their child as they will be confident that there child is in the best possible hands. Terri is an absolute amazingly talented and valued educator.
Oh my, where do I start with Terri and her family! I had an interview with Terri when my now 8 year old son had not long turned 1 and I was pregnant with my now 6 year old son. I was very nervous about putting my son into care through mainstream childcare as he was a very sensitive clingy boy who hide behind me when meeting new people so family daycare seemed like a better option for us. Within the first 5 minutes of our interview with Terri, he was sitting in her lap chattering away. The care, love and support that Terri has given my boys over the last 7 years has been that of a caring favorite aunt and I always felt that my boys were being taken care of as well if not better than if they were home with me. Terri met my 2nd son when he was just 1 day old and she formed a bond right from the start that made his transition to her care seamless. Terri has always been accommodating with changes due to work commitments and even now that my children are at school, they still regularly go to her in school holidays - Terri ensures that her school holiday activities change with the ages of the children in her care. Through out the ever difficult changing stages of childhood, Terri has always made time to give advice and connect with the parents to ensure that the continued care and at times discipline was unified both at home and whilst they were in her care. My boys went through their early years hardly ever sick with colds/gastro and other bugs as is common with mainstream childcare and this is largely due to Terri's vigilance in her home, keeping her home clean and germ free and following strict policies around this. My 6 year old carries an epipen due to severe allergy's and again Terri was nothing but professional in regard to his continued needs and I always felt comfortable when she took him out on excursions and in and around her home. We all love Terri and her family and will have the fondest of memories to look back on in years to come.
