Bluebird Ipswich is truly an amazing centre. The staff and management are exceptional—caring, supportive, and genuinely dedicated to every child. The food provided is nutritious and thoughtfully prepared, and the relationships they build with the children are incredible. You can really see how well each child is known and valued, with every individual need being met. It truly feels like they are raising a village of children, creating a warm, nurturing, and inclusive environment. I couldn’t recommend Bluebird Ipswich highly enough.

About Bluebird Early Education Ipswich

Welcome to Bluebird Early Education Ipswich, where we provide a warm, nurturing, and inspiring environment for your child’s early learning journey.

Our service caters to children from 6 weeks to 5 years, offering a thoughtfully designed space that fosters curiosity, creativity, and confidence. With six purpose-built Studios, we create enriching experiences tailored to every stage of early childhood development, ensuring each child feels safe, valued, and engaged in their learning.

At Bluebird Ipswich, we embrace child-led, holistic education, where play-based learning sparks imagination and discovery. Our experienced educators curate exciting and innovative programs that nurture children's natural curiosity and help build essential life skills. Daily rituals, including shared mealtimes, rest circles, and country acknowledgments, help create a strong sense of belonging.

Healthy nutrition is a key part of our approach. Our in-house chef prepares fresh, wholesome meals daily in collaboration with Nutrition Australia, ensuring children receive balanced, nutritious food that meets 50% of their daily intake—presented in ways that encourage even the fussiest eaters to explore new flavors.

We also value community connections. Our location, directly across from Queens Park, provides exciting learning opportunities with visits to the Ipswich Nature Centre, Nerima Gardens, and the Queens Park Environmental Education Centre. These experiences extend learning beyond the classroom, fostering a deeper appreciation for the world around us.

At Bluebird Ipswich, we are more than just an early education service—we are a community where children and families grow together. We would love to welcome you and your child to experience the Bluebird difference!

Meet the team

Hello, my name is Gabby Heit, and I am the proud Centre Manager here at Bluebird Early Education Ipswich. I hold my Diploma in Early Education and have been part of the Early Childhood industry since 2020.

My passion for Early Education has always been strong, but it grew even more profound when I became a mum to two beautiful boys and many fur babies. This experience has shaped my perspective, and I find immense joy in providing a second home not only for our children but also for our educators and families. Together, we create a modern-day village where we all bring out the best in each other, learning and growing every day.

One of the most rewarding parts of my day is seeing the smiles of our dedicated educators and the joy in the eyes of our young children. I am deeply passionate about creating a nurturing, supportive environment where everyone thrives. Education, to me, goes beyond textbooks and classrooms – it’s about making everyone feel valued, heard, and supported. In this inclusive space, educators can grow professionally, sharing their expertise and ultimately enriching the educational experiences for all.

I look forward to meeting you and your family and joining you on your child’s educational journey, where learning truly takes flight.
About the curriculum

About the curriculum

The Kindergarten program is a complete cycle of each individual child’s development. Educators see and learn the ways children take on new knowledge and adapt their teaching practices to cater for them. The environment is busy and forever changing as learning evolves.

Through many literacy games, active outdoor play, and day-to-day activities, Educators strive to get each child ready for their first year of school, providing them with the emotional, physical and intellectual support.

Qualified Teachers constantly critically reflect on their curriculum, ensuring that it’s at its best for the diversity within the centre. A home away from home, where learning takes flight with the little Bluebirds.

Centre philosophy

Centre philosophy

Kindy of Kindness - Initiatives may include visits to aged care facilities, baking for the local emergency services, and fund-raising projects to assist charity groups.

Sustainability Program - By taking part in daily sustainable living practices including recycling, composting, worm farming, energy and water saving, the children develop a working understanding of how they can play a vital role in protecting the environment.

Community connections - By forging strong community ties they enable the children to develop a deep sense of belonging and connection to the world around them, construct an understanding of how society works, and begin to recognise and respect the shared values that unite us.

Technology focus - Technology is introduced through a play based approach. Educators role model and assist children to gain new knowledge and to better understand concepts through the designated computer programs.

Health & Nutrition

Health & Nutrition

The centre believes in a hands-on approach to teaching children about food, which is why cooking classes are offered as part of the curriculum.

Children are encouraged to help out where they can, whether that’s chopping fruit for smoothies or pouring them out for everyone.

Food is used as a way to teach children about identifying their needs and attending to them. Children can access drink stations and fruit bowls for a quick snack.

I couldn't be more thankful for the recommendation to check out Bluebird Ipswich! From the first phone call, Gabby and Steph were amazing. They answered every question I could possibly have. We enrolled not long after opening and my little one has thrived ever since. We are very thankful for this new centre. My little one loves that he can greet every educator in the centre and they all return his greeting with just as much enthusiasm. Its such a beautiful community!
