About

Hi, I’m Vijitra, but most people call me Jojo. My Family Day Care is based in Asquith.


I hold a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, and I truly enjoy caring for children. I started Hyacinth Family Day Care so I could look after my own son while also providing care for other children in a home setting.


We mainly speak English at home, and I encourage my son to use some Thai as well. I enjoy teaching the children a few simple Thai words – it’s a fun little extra they seem to pick up easily.


My goal is to create a warm, safe and stimulating space where children feel secure and at ease, like it’s their second home.


I believe play is the best way for children to learn, so I provide a variety of activities and resources each day. We have a large, safe outdoor area and spend plenty of time outside – playing, exploring nature and enjoying fresh air.


Parents are very welcome to call at any time to book a tour. Feel free to come by, have a look around, meet me and see how things work here – I’m happy to arrange it whenever suits you.

My grandson was under Jojo's care from 18 months two years ago, he leave this family care at 3 and a half years old with fully toilet trained and ready to start with a big school. Now my granddaughter has also started going to this family care at 18 months, she learn very quickly under Jojo's care. We are very very happy and lucky to have Jojo taking care of our grandkids.

My son has been under Jojo's care for the last 2 years for five days a week, and I could not be happier with the care she has provided! Jojo has a wonderful programme in place that gives all the children plenty of physical and mental stimulation. We were very blessed to have found the Hyacinth’s family day care. Jojo is extremely caring, experienced, and always makes our child feel safe and happy. She puts so much effort into creating fun, creative, and meaningful activities every day — you can really see how much thought and love she puts into her program. Her communication is excellent, and we always know what our child has been learning and enjoying. Jojo is also wonderfully responsible and reliable, which gives us so much peace of mind.
