Welcome to Guardian Childcare & Education Wahroonga

Guardian Childcare & Education Wahroonga is a welcoming and homely childcare Centre offering care and education for children from six weeks to six years of age. With a range of resource-rich environments, including a teepee, vegetable garden, water pump, creek bed, worm farm and a range of age-specific play areas, children are encouraged to explore and learn each day.

Our long day care in Wahroonga is ideally located for families in surrounding suburbs near Wahroonga, South Turramurra, Warrawee, Turramurra, Thornleigh and Normanhurst.

Our centre offers:

  • Engaging indoor learning spaces full of quality educational resources
  • Expansive outdoor play spaces with a sandpit, water pump, teepee and veggie garden
  • On-site Chef providing fresh snacks and meals daily
  • Nappies, SPF 50+ sunscreen, high-quality formula and bed linen provided

Our highly experienced Educators and degree-qualified Teachers support children to grow and thrive. At Guardian Wahroonga long daycare centre we provide wonderful learning programs for the children, including a leading for those preparing for the transition to primary school. 

Proud winner of the Family Choice Award 2025. As determined by our existing families rating their experience of our Centre via Family Satisfaction Survey and independent Google Reviews.

The New South Wales Government offers funding to provide families fee relief of up to $2174 per child aged three and above, and up to $515 per year for children aged three. This support is in addition to the Child Care Subsidy and can help to lower your out-of-pocket fees. Ask for more details when you tour the centre.

Programs

Programs

The centre programs revolve around the interests and skills of the children. The educators take a personalised approach to get to know each child, their needs and what interests them most. They then tailor the program to match.

With a mix of structured and unstructured play, the educators embed important foundational learning and skills throughout the day. What may seem like fun and play to the children or even to an outside observer, the educators carefully plan activities with real learning benefits. Whether it’s counting the chairs to put out at lunch or practising social skills through dress up play, the children are always growing, learning and developing.

Community is also a strong focus in the program. The educators make the most of their community connections to plan engaging incursions and excursions for the children to enjoy. This enhances their sense of belonging as they develop an understanding of the world around them.
