Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Point Cook Lemongrass Circuit is conveniently located just off the Boardwalk, only five minutes from the town centre and close to several primary schools. With over seven years of service, we provide a welcoming environment for children aged six weeks to five years.
Our centre fosters a sense of community, allowing children to move freely between rooms to connect with siblings and peers. We celebrate the diverse cultural backgrounds of our families through inclusive learning activities and a varied weekly food menu.
Building strong relationships with families is at the heart of what we do. We actively encourage family participation in our centre and host engaging events throughout the year, including Mother’s and Father’s Day afternoon teas, parent evenings, and our much-loved Christmas family picnic.
Our dedicated educators, many of whom have been with us for over five years, ensure quality education and continuity of care for all children. We also offer an external music program and a variety of enriching incursions throughout the year.

State Government Approved Programs
Our high-quality, play based preschool curriculum is delivered by Bachelor qualified Early Childhood Teachers. Our teachers tailor their programs to ensure all children develop the confidence and social and emotional skills needed for a smooth transition to school. Through play, our Early Childhood Teachers facilitate children’s learning of important language, literacy, numeracy and creative skills.

The educators embed teaching and learning into play experiences, helping the children to make sense of the world around them. This is how the children learn about how things work and develop important foundational relationships and skills.
The primarily child-directed, play-based curriculum ensures that the children are engaged in their learning. They are encouraged to take the lead, developing their negotiation, risk taking, problem solving and social skills. The educators observe the children and help to challenge them by extending their learning and interests.
The educators recognise that every child is unique and that they bring their own needs, interests and strengths with them each day. The program is designed to be flexible to cater to these differing needs, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive at Goodstart.
Goodstart Early Learning uses the StoryPark app to connect with parents throughout the day. The educators upload photos and stories to the secure app, which parents can access anytime and anywhere to track their child’s progress.
The approach at the centre is very much based around partnership between families and educators. The educators work with the parents and carers to build strong relationships. They develop trust so the children can feel safe and secure while at the centre. Parents are also encouraged to share their insights and feedback with educators to add depth to the relationship.
The educators observe the children every day and tailor the program around their observations. They share these with parents, so they can feel connected to their child’s progress and also provide feedback that will further enhance their child’s learning experience.
Goodstart Early Learning employs qualified and skilled educators who are dedicated to making a difference to the children in their care. Hi my name is Claire Sutton and I have been centre Director at Goodstart Point Cook – Lemongrass since it opened in February 2017.
I have been working in the Early Childhood industry for 21 years and I turn up to work every day with a smile on my face.
I just love seeing the children grow and develop and being part of this very crucial time in a child’s life as well as sharing this wonderful journey with my families at the centre.

My 3‑year‑old has been attending Goodstart since he was 11 months old, and he’s always happy and excited to go. Sending him there truly feels like leaving him with extended family — it has never felt like a childcare centre focused on business or profit. The educators are incredibly supportive, attentive, and caring. They handle children’s worries during transitions with so much patience and understanding. I highly recommend this daycare if you’re looking for a nurturing, home‑like environment where your child can grow. 👍👍

Our kids have been going to GS Lemongrass since 2021 (and we have a few more years to go with our younger ones). From baby room to Kinder my eldest has thrived and the bond with educators has endured and has been maintained. In all the years we have been going the educators and carers have remained constant (even with cover) which not only has meant consistency for the kids but also added safety as a parent of knowing who your kids are with. The front office team are also great and run things in a smooth way, you know that safety of the kids is the priority. The centre is friendly, fun and focuses on celebrating all those in the Pt cook community and there is a strong focus on inclusivity with many events planned to celebrate all manner of occasions. We have always been meet with a collaborative discussion if there was anything we had on our minds and you don’t feel like any requests like dietary or for extra help for your kiddo is too much. Finding somewhere that you trust to look after your child in some of their most vulnerable years is one of the hardest decisions you can make as a parent- and we are very happy that we picked GoodStart Lemongrass. Goodstart lemongrass circuit centre has been fantastic in my child’s growth and confidence. The staff specially Ashu , Geetu and Mary are professional, caring, and attentive, and take the time to understand each child’s needs. The activities are engaging and educational, and it’s clear the children are well supported. I am very grateful to have found such a positive and welcoming centre and would definitely recommend to any parent looking for a caring , clean and highly nurturing environment.
