Programs
Programs
The centre programs revolve around the interests and skills of the children. The educators take a personalised approach to get to know each child, their needs and what interests them most. They then tailor the program to match.
With a mix of structured and unstructured play, the educators embed important foundational learning and skills throughout the day. What may seem like fun and play to the children or even to an outside observer, the educators carefully plan activities with real learning benefits. Whether it’s counting the chairs to put out at lunch or practising social skills through dress up play, the children are always growing, learning and developing.
Community is also a strong focus in the program. The educators make the most of their community connections to plan engaging incursions and excursions for the children to enjoy. This enhances their sense of belonging as they develop an understanding of the world around them.
Meet the team
Meet the team
The team at the centre is made up of a mix of accredited Teachers, experienced Lead Educators and passionate Educational Leaders. No matter the role they play in the team, each and every person is dedicated to nurturing and supporting the children in their care.
Unique to Guardian Childcare & Education is the role of Baby Ambassador. It is the Baby Ambassador’s role to get to know the youngest children at the centre and ensure their needs are met each and every day. They also liaise with the families to give added peace of mind that their baby is happy and well during the day.
The team is the heart of the centre. Each member is valued for the individual skills they bring to the team and the contribution they make. For this reason, staff turnover is low ensuring a consistent experience for the children.

As someone in education, I have high standards for the types of activities and learning opportunities for my child and the Staff at Guardian haven’t disappointed. Before enrolling my daughter, in fact before the tour, I was about to witness how some of the staff interact with children without them knowing who I was. I saw Becky offer help to a young child in the yard who had just started crying – her response time was under 1 minute. Becky assessed the situation that quickly and as a parent that immediately made me feel confident in the centre. Since being at Guardian my daughter has had Becky, Lili, Sam, Ritu, Melba and Ayesha and all these lovely ladies haven’t disappointed. The activities they carefully plan are fun and engaging – I can tell my daughter loves them with the beautiful smiling photos on Story Park daily. All of these ladies have provided clear handover at the end of the day and listen to any requests or concerns. In the morning, at drop-off staff who don’t work in my daughters room, greet her by name and it is obvious that they know her and she is comfortable with them. Phuong is often present in the morning during drop off and the whether in the room or in the hallway she always makes an effort to say good morning to my child and check in with how she is going. It’s reassuring as a parent to see my child smile and obviously feel like she belongs even if is tries to hide the smile from Phuong. We really appreciate how much easier the morning are with all the support of staff and the work they do to help transition the kids in on the bad mornings. Joy, who is in the Kinder room, brings a bright and bubbly energy to the centre and has an amazing caring nature with the children. If you want your child to feel connected to a community and be ready for school, Joy is the kind of person you want. As a teacher, I love the little things that she embeds in her room to help the children get ready for school. All the staff members at Guardian Point Cook North are clearly visible and consistently engaged with the children. Read more

The centre has a clean, welcoming vibe, and the staff is dedicated. Savi, the Assistant Centre Manager, is incredibly dedicated to making constant improvements, creating a positive environment for everyone. You can see her commitment in the improvements around the centre, and she is always accommodating to any requests and takes the time to discuss and address any doubts or concerns you may have. Joy, Sahar, Sarah, Sally, Harpreet, Preeti are great educators and make a good team who we interact and are doing an amazing job. They not only teach the kids new things but also encourage their curiosity, self-confidence, and love for learning. It's clear that they care about each child's growth and development. I also appreciate the staff consistency here – it gives me peace of mind knowing the same familiar faces are always around, which is a rare and reassuring quality in childcare. Read more
