Guardian Torquay is truly a gem and deserves a much higher rating than it currently has. As a first-time mum, I was very hesitant about putting my clingy little one into childcare. I wanted a place where I felt completely comfortable and at ease. I toured several centres across different areas, but Guardian Torquay was the only one that gave me that feeling. The centre has such a warm, homey atmosphere, and I really appreciated that it’s smaller in size (one of the top things I was looking for). It made it so much easier to get to know all the educators and even most of the children, which meant a lot to me. The Centre Manager and Assistant Manager have been incredibly supportive, approachable, and easy to talk to. During orientation and until now, every educator showed patience, care, and genuine support for my bub. They’ve consistently listened to my requests, answered all my questions with patience, and provided reassurance throughout the process. A few months in, I’m still so happy with our decision, especially seeing the progress my child has made. Every pick up, he’s happy, playful, and thriving (though definitely tired too😆). I’m really glad I trusted my intuition. To be honest, after reading some online reviews, I had doubts, but this experience has shown me that every family’s journey is different. For us, choosing Guardian Torquay has been one of the best decisions. Such a welcoming, close-knit, and nurturing centre 😊

We cannot speak more highly of Guardian Torquay! Walking into the service, it feels like home. It's warm and welcoming and the children feel safe. As parents, we appreiate the educators knowing us by name and developing a strong connection. Our baby settled immediately and developed his confidence because of the amazing educators overnight. We really appreciate how all educators make an effort when you walk into the room and help with the seperating transition. I will be very honest and say the poor reviews made me question the service before we started but keep in mind, happy families do not leave reviews.

As a Guardian employee and parent of the centre I feel grateful to be working at the Torquay centre. It has a warm, homely community atmosphere and is beautifully resourced. The children regularly engage with the local community, such as visits to the beach, library, schools. My own child attends the centre and is thriving, she’s happy, settled, and has developed a strong bond with her educators & Teacher. Our Centre Manager Celine is deeply committed to continuous improvement and brings extensive knowledge and passion for early childhood education, ensuring the best outcomes for the children and the team.

We’ve been really happy with the centre. The room educators especially Selvin, Lilli and Corey are nurturing, proactive, and genuinely caring. Our little one has the best time here and we can see how much she’s thriving in her development

DO NOT send your child to guardian!! Completely incompetent staff, undertrained. I got no updates about my child’s day whilst they were at this facility… didn’t even know if they ate or slept until I asked. They merge the nursery and toddler room which is no good for a child’s development. Myself and another 7 all moved our children from the facility. The staff are extremely rude especially the new manager Celine. No time of day for the parents or children and are often gossiping. Will not recommend this facility to anyone! Absolute nightmare and should be audited and closed down. Half of the staff have also moved to the new amazing facility down the road… says it all

I absolutely love this centre. My child has attended Guardian Torquay for two years now and I could not recommend it more highly. Even more so now with the new management team who have been nothing but incredible. The staff are friendly, passionate, well trained. and openly communicate about my child's day.

Terrible transparency between this centre and the parents. Complete lack of reporting procedures, carers are not trained in incident management, end of day reports are not consistently provided. The childrens days are not structured in a way thats condusive to healthy development. I sent an email to management to understand the curriculum/structure of my sons care on a typical day and was told that an answer would take one week to come up with. I would not consider sending my children to this centre unless there was a complete change in management.

As professional Educator we gave to the children the best care and learning experience, but since TIFF resigned, we've had some concerns with the management. Communication seems inconsistent, and there have been instances where important information about our child's day was not relayed. Additionally, some staff members appear to be undertrained or inexperienced, leading to situations where my child's needs weren't adequately addressed. We hope these issues can be resolved to improve the overall experience for your family. We want the best for our community, students and families for that reason we decided to leave the centre. The families will know how and where to find the consistency, love, support and the best Educators.
