The teachers were loving, patient, and made every day exciting for our child. It was such a comfort knowing she was happy, safe, and learning in a warm environment. Today I went in for a tour and what they showed me was a very friendly and inviting facility. The staff was amazing and extremely knowledgeable, I felt so at peace at Shaftesbury blvd GoodStart after touring other daycares today and not finding the home atmosphere with the nurturing staff. Today I found a safe, homey, and welcoming atmosphere with the most nurturing staff ever. I would highly recommend their services to everyone especially the mothers who are always so worried about your little ones. Trust me when I say I would never let anyone look after my child, but this centre immediately made me feel trust and care throughout. Thank you for such an amazing tour and the warm welcoming! If I could give zero stars, I would. Over the past two years, my daughter has endured repeated physical aggression from another child at this facility, including biting and hitting. Despite numerous complaints and conversations with the staff and management, they failed to take any meaningful action to ensure her safety. A daycare’s number one responsibility is to provide a safe environment for all children, and this place has completely failed in that regard. Their inability—or unwillingness—to properly handle a child who was repeatedly harming others is absolutely unacceptable. Instead of addressing the issue, they allowed it to continue, leaving my daughter vulnerable and afraid. If you value your child’s safety and well-being, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. This facility has proven time and time again that they are either incapable or uninterested in protecting the children in their care. Read more

We are so grateful for the wonderful experience our son has had at this daycare center. He joined last year, and from day one, he formed a strong bond with his educators. It's clear to see how much he enjoys going to daycare, and we truly appreciate how dedicated the staff is to his well-being. The educators have been attentive to our requests and have followed his routine, which has made the transition so smooth. Our son is thriving and learning so much, and it’s been a joy to watch. A special shout-out to Christy Lee and her team, who have been exceptional. Christy developed a close bond with our son almost immediately, even when he started part-time before moving to full-time care. We also deeply appreciate the open communication, honest feedback, and the genuine care the team provides. Recently, our son transitioned to Toddler 1, and we're confident that Maria and her team will continue providing the same high-quality care and attention. We couldn’t be happier with our experience so far and look forward to watching our son continue to grow in such a nurturing environment. Read more

From the moment you step through the front door, the Center Director Staci and Assistant Director Emma extend a warm welcome and the Admin Tanja is absolutely phenomenal, kind and welcoming. Together, they ensure that each family and child's developmental needs are met and accounts are satisfactory. Staci has set a standard of excellence for going above and beyond with her team. A huge shout out to the whole team at Shaftsbury – every educator and ECT is completely honest, approachable, kindhearted, straightforward, and caring. This centre offers an absolutely amazing program throughout the service. One of my favorite educational programs is their puppets for social and emotional learning. My son struggles with self-regulation and since they have introduced their puppets, his understanding has changed dramatically. My second favorite thing here is their language hour. This centre has a wonderful and unique range of educators from multiple cultures across the world, and Staci and her team use this in the best practice to teach children in each room multiple languages throughout their time here. But there is so much more that this centre does that there isn't enough pages to talk about. I would also like to give a huge shout-out to Priscilla, the cook. Every time I walk into the centre, the aroma is perfect. You can instantly smell the love within the food another amazing thing about Priscilla and Staci is they create an incredible opportunity to connect with each family and explore the menu together. Don't send your kids here, they overcharge the child care subsidy and lie to the government, they don't refund money when they make... Don't send your kids here, they overcharge the child care subsidy and lie to the government, they don't refund money when they make mistakes, a year later and still no refund. My daughter never found enjoyment here and I felt that she was deprived from doing activities; all while she picked up bad habits and swearing. They never made her feeel welcome and almost starved her one day. Read more

They demonstrate dedication both to education and creative learning and they really take the time to further the learning of each individual child and you can tell how happy and comfortable the kids are. From the very beginning, the staff made us feel welcome and assured us that our child would be in great hands. The center's environment is warm and inviting, providing a safe and nurturing space for our little one to explore and learn. The staff members are not only highly trained professionals but also genuinely caring and attentive. It's evident that they have a true passion for early childhood education and the well-being of each child under their care. Communication with the staff has been excellent. They keep us informed about our child's progress, daily activities, and any special events happening at the center. This level of transparency and involvement is greatly appreciated as it helps us stay connected with our child's experiences.
