How refreshing it is to find a centre that prioritises outdoor and creative play! Having staff like Tressa is such a benefit especially when having to drop off our baby who is not yet at the age to speak about his day, I can always tell how his day has gone when I pick him up seeing his reaction to saying goodbye to her. And again at drop off when he is greeted by her in the morning. So grateful to have a 2nd home for him while we are busy working. LOVE THIS CENTRE!

About Sanctuary Early Learning Adventure - Maudsland

At Sanctuary Maudsland, we have created an early learning environment where children feel deeply connected, genuinely supported and inspired to explore the world around them. Surrounded by natural outdoor spaces and sweeping verandas, our centre offers a calm, home-like atmosphere where children can learn, grow and belong.

Our approach is guided by play-based, child-led learning, allowing children the time and space to follow their interests, build confidence and engage in meaningful discovery. We believe learning should not be rushed, and our educators take a slow, intentional approach that values curiosity, creativity and strong relationships.

What makes Sanctuary Maudsland truly special is the strength of our team and community. Families are welcomed into a centre where relationships are prioritised and children are supported by consistent educators who know them deeply. This strong sense of connection is reflected throughout the centre, from the welcoming daily interactions to the thoughtful rituals and routines that shape each day.

Our environments are intentionally designed to encourage independence, exploration and connection with nature. Children are actively involved in everyday experiences such as setting tables, serving meals and caring for their environment, helping build confidence, responsibility and a sense of capability from an early age.

Our commitment to quality was recognised through our Exceeding rating in key areas including Physical Environment, Staffing Arrangements, Collaborative Partnerships with Families and Community, and Governance and Leadership.

Safety and wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do. Through strong child-safe practices, meaningful relationships and a calm, predictable environment, children feel secure, supported and confident to thrive.

We offer long day care and a government-approved Kindergarten program, supporting children from their earliest years through to a confident transition to school.

Through responsive relationships and intentional teaching, children are supported to build confidence, independence and a strong sense of identity within a safe and nurturing environment.

Parent communication and involvement

Parent communication and involvement

At Sanctuary Maudsland, communication begins with strong relationships. Our educators prioritise meaningful conversations with families each day, taking the time to share insights into children’s experiences, development and wellbeing in a way that feels personal and genuine.

These daily interactions help build trust and connection over time, ensuring families feel informed, supported and actively involved in their child’s early learning journey.

Kindergarten/Preschool Programs

Kindergarten/Preschool Programs

Our government-approved Kindergarten program at Sanctuary Maudsland supports children to feel confident, capable and ready for their transition to school. Through a balance of play-based learning and intentional teaching, children build independence, resilience, communication skills and a strong sense of self.

Our Kindergarten program focuses on the whole child, not just academic readiness. Children are supported to develop social and emotional confidence, problem-solving skills and a genuine love of learning in a way that feels meaningful, engaging and connected to their interests.

About the curriculum

About the curriculum

At Sanctuary Maudsland, our curriculum is guided by each child’s interests, ideas and emerging questions. Through play-based learning, children are encouraged to explore, investigate and make meaning of the world in ways that feel natural and engaging to them.

Our educators observe closely and respond with intention, extending children’s thinking through meaningful experiences rather than rushing from one activity to the next. This allows learning to unfold with depth, curiosity and genuine connection.

Health & nutrition

Health & nutrition

At Sanctuary Maudsland, all meals are prepared fresh each day by our in-house chef, Mandi, using a seasonal menu approved by a paediatric nutritionist. This ensures children receive balanced, nutritious meals that support their growth, energy and wellbeing throughout the day.

We prioritise fresh, high-quality ingredients and create meals that are both nourishing and enjoyable. Mealtimes are calm and social, giving children the opportunity to explore new foods, connect with others and develop positive relationships with food.

What the parents say

What the parents say

Families often speak about the strong sense of connection they feel at Sanctuary Maudsland. From the warmth of our educators to the confidence and independence they see grow in their children, these shared experiences reflect the genuine relationships and supportive environment that shape our centre community.

I would highly recommend Sanctuary Maudsland to anyone looking at care providers for their child. My son has been attending this Centre for over 4 years and has grown immensely with his learning and social skills. He has been consistently nurtured and loved by the educators following the passing of his father and I am grateful for the way it's being handled for him. He now has a great group of friends going to big school with him next year also - I'm very glad we chose this provider. - Kristi
We have been part of Sanctuary Early Learning Adventure Maudsland for a couple of years now, and it has been such a welcoming and inclusive centre for our son. The educators are warm and supportive, and the focus on hands-on play makes learning exciting and meaningful for the children. We have been so happy being part of this wonderful community! - Sarah
From the moment you first walk through the front door, you're greeted with nothing but smiley faces and calm vibes.
I never knew the energy in a Child Care Centre could actually be relaxing, but it truly is.
There is no stress, no rushing, even on the toughest of mornings with our little one the staff know exactly how to support him with the transition & they're brilliant at keeping us up to date on his day to day activities.
Having our second bub starting next week doesn't come with the anxiety I thought I would feel, because I know after having our stay and play sessions that she is going to be so well looked after.
Thank you to the entire team for making the transition to a new centre so easy & comfortable. - Talia

Hi Amber, thank you so much for this beautiful feedback—it really means a lot to our Maudsland team. We love hearing how much you value the outdoor and creative play experiences. It’s such a big part of what makes our days feel like an adventure for the children 🌻 🥰And Tressa… we couldn’t agree more. Those little moments at drop-off and pick-up say everything, especially when they’re still too little to tell us in words. We’ll be sure to pass this on to her—she’ll absolutely love it 🙏🏻 We’re so grateful to be your little one’s second home while you’re at work. Thank you for choosing to be a part of our beautiful Sanctuary Maudsland family 💛

Sanctuary Maudsland is truly a hidden jem! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by a warm and friendly team who clearly love what they do. The classrooms are beautifully designed and thoughtfully set up and the outdoor spaces are fab fun for the littlies. I really couldn't believe how fantastic the food was, Mandi does an awesome job in the kitchen. If you're looking for a place where your child will be nurtured, inspired and truly happy every single day, look no further. Highly recommend!!!
