We have been part of the Sanctuary Ashmore family for 6 years now and have always had a positive experience. The team are always kind, informative and communicate my child’s needs and achievements extremely well. Would definitely recommend Sanctuary Ashmore to anyone looking for a positive childcare or kindergarten experience.

About Sanctuary Early Learning Adventure Ashmore

At Sanctuary Ashmore, we believe early learning should feel like a true home away from home. As a family-owned centre, we’ve created a warm, nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported, and genuinely known.

Our approach is guided by play-based, child-led learning, allowing each child to explore their interests, build confidence, and develop at their own pace. With thoughtfully designed indoor studios and expansive outdoor environments, children are encouraged to connect with nature, take safe risks, and engage in meaningful, hands-on experiences every day.

What sets us apart is our commitment to quality in every detail. Our educators are highly trained and continuously upskilled, ensuring your child benefits from the latest in early childhood education and care. We also offer an all-inclusive experience, with nutritious meals prepared fresh by our in-house chef, along with nappies, wipes, linen and enriching extracurricular programs all included in your daily fee.

Safety and wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do. From our child-safe practices to our strong relationships with families, we prioritise open communication and trust—so you can feel confident your child is in the very best hands.

We offer long day care and a government-approved kindergarten program, supporting your child’s journey from their earliest years through to school readiness.

If you’re looking for a centre where your child will feel safe, inspired and truly at home, we’d love to welcome you to Sanctuary Ashmore.

Highly skilled educators, shaped by ongoing professional development

Our team is continuously upskilled through our internal ELEVATE leadership program and continues to learn following a three year partnership with renowned pedagogical expert Kelly Goodsir. This commitment has transformed our approach to learning environments and documentation—moving beyond checklists to meaningful, reflective practice. Our spaces are intentionally designed as the “third teacher,” and our documentation captures each child’s learning journey with depth, purpose and authenticity.

A safe, nurturing environment where children feel at home

As a family-owned centre, relationships are at the heart of everything we do. Our long-standing team provides children with a familiar, reassuring presence each day—supporting consistent education and care, and creating a strong sense of belonging for every child and family. With embedded child-safe practices and a calm, home-like environment, children feel secure, supported and truly known. This sense of safety allows them to confidently explore, build relationships and thrive in their early learning journey.

Child-led learning and a meaningful Kindergarten program

Our approach is grounded in play-based, child-led learning, where children are given the time and space to explore their interests deeply. We take a slow, intentional pedagogical approach, valuing process over product; supporting confidence, independence and genuine school readiness.

Thoughtful routines and rituals that nurture independence and belonging icon

Thoughtful routines and rituals that nurture independence and belonging

We see every child as confident and capable, and our daily routines are designed to reflect this. From setting the table for meals, serving their own food and enjoying it on real crockery, to making their own beds for rest time, children are gently supported to take ownership of their day and build confidence through meaningful, everyday experiences. Children are actively involved in the rhythm of the centre - helping to collect meals from the kitchen, washing their own dishes, and contributing to shared spaces. These moments foster independence, responsibility and a deep sense of belonging. Alongside these daily rituals, we create special moments to celebrate birthdays and important milestones, building connection, joy and a strong sense of community for every child.

Centre philosophy

Centre philosophy

At Sanctuary Ashmore, our philosophy is built on a deep respect for children as confident, capable and active participants in their own learning. We intentionally listen to children’s voices, allowing their ideas, interests and perspectives to guide our curriculum and daily experiences.

Rather than directing learning, our educators respond with intention - creating opportunities for children to explore, question and grow in ways that are meaningful to them. This approach builds independence, confidence and a strong sense of identity.

Parent communication and involvement

Parent communication and involvement

We prioritise genuine, in-person connection at the beginning and end of each day. These moments allow our educators to share meaningful insights about your child’s experiences, development and wellbeing, building trust through conversation rather than just information.

Over time, these daily interactions create strong, respectful relationships between families and educators. It’s through this consistency that families feel confident, informed and truly connected to their child’s day.
Kindergarten/Preschool Programs

Kindergarten/Preschool Programs

Our government-approved Kindergarten program focuses on preparing children for school in a way that builds confidence, independence and resilience. We support children to develop the social and emotional skills needed to navigate their next stage.

Rather than focusing solely on academic outcomes, we take a holistic approach that supports the whole child.

About the curriculum

About the curriculum

Our curriculum is guided by each child’s interests, strengths and emerging ideas. Through play-based experiences, children are encouraged to explore, question and discover in ways that feel meaningful to them.

Educators observe and respond to these interests, extending learning through intentional experiences that support development across all areas.

Health & nutrition

Health & nutrition

All meals are prepared fresh each day by our in-house chef, ensuring children receive balanced, nutritious food tailored to their individual dietary needs and preferences. Our menu is seasonal and thoughtfully designed in consultation with a paediatric nutritionist, supporting optimal health and development at every stage.

We prioritise fresh, high-quality ingredients, with some produce even sourced from our own centre vegetable garden—picked by our chef alongside the children. This connection to food supports not only nutrition, but also curiosity, engagement and a deeper understanding of where food comes from, making mealtimes both nourishing and meaningful.

The centre environment itself seemed perfect and the educators appeared caring, however I decided not to proceed with enrolment after observing educators kissing children. In my professional (10 years being a early childhood educator) and personal opinion, kissing other people’s children in a childcare setting is unacceptable and crossed a professional boundary for me. She also mentioned how other parents have shown their concern during tours or stay and plays but didn’t seem bothered. During interactions with my 9 month old son, I also felt as though this would be treated as normal practice regardless of my comfort as a parent. I shared my concerns respectfully via email earlier this week and was disappointed not to receive any acknowledgement or response.

What can I say. I has my daughter at another centre where I was not happy at all. No need to name names. From the moment she started at this centre her world changed. She went from being upset every time we dropped her off to looking forward to her day ahead. As a father there is nothing more comforting to see you child happy and excited about her day ahead while you drive away for the day. The centre itself and all the staff are excellent in every aspected. Just amazing. Well done. Keep up the great work looking after our little ones. If I could give 6 stars I would.
