Both my kids have been with YMCA since they were 8 months old. Love their friendly and caring team, communication is timely and... Both my kids have been with YMCA since they were 8 months old. Love their friendly and caring team, communication is timely and up to date (there are daily updates, routines and photos on Storypark, never a day it is missed). The best thing of all - the activities for the kids are very engaging (e.g mandarin classes, yoga, science experiments, number learning, cooking class etc). I would recommend this centre to anyone. After touring multiple childcare centers for my son, we decided on Point Cook YMCA ELC. While it wasn't the flashiest of the centers around, the staff were the warmest and most informative and I am so happy with the decision. He started at 10 months and is now 3 and flourishing in their kinder program. The team have been attentive to his learning and development. There is so much to love about this center. From the super accommodating and helpful admin staff, to the skillful chef serving a delicious and wide variety of food of different cultures. The staff turnover has also been so low, so there is the assurance that the team will get to know your child and nurture them. Read more

The decision to leave your child in childcare is an emotional one, especially as a first time mum. I am so glad that I chose YMCA Point Cook as the place to send my daughter. The staff are friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. The centre has a family oriented feel and you always feel warm and welcome. Staff have taken the time to get to know me, my daughter and my family. They have taken the time to build a genuine sense of belonging for my daughter. There is not a day that we haven't been greeted with a smile and a hello, not just from staff who work directly with my daughter, but from other rooms, the centre director and manager and even Chef Joseph. No question or request is ignored and I particularly appreciate that staff who work with my daughter in the Possum room genuinely know her, her needs and interests and have taken the time to ensure she feels loved and safe. The centre manager Siv and the staff here are the most understanding, patient and loving people. I wish I had brought my daughter here so much earlier. My child has thrived here and we are sad that it has come to an end of an era, for her. Siv is approachable, no request is ever a nuisance and every child is welcomed into a world of adventure. We loved the kindergarten program and the way that educators implemented the children’s interests into the learning curriculum. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and very family oriented. Thank you also to Reena in the Kangaroo Room, who is the most empathetic, considerate and loving educator we have come across. Read more

Wasn't a good fit for our daughter. Cried pretty much everytime we dropped her off which was unusual as previous centre she was... Wasn't a good fit for our daughter. Cried pretty much everytime we dropped her off which was unusual as previous centre she was ok. Environment didn't feel warm or friendly, children seemed to be left to their own devices which was evident when collecting our daughter at various times of the day. Advised to bring sudocrem with a label from the chemist to have our daughters name and instructions. Our label advised to apply after every change. I hadn't taken the seal off and when collected on last day seal was still intact and never opened. May be the reason why our daughter doesn't like her nappy changed anymore. Other parents probably need to check theirs Sorry to leave a bad review but I think the centre needs an overhaul Read more
