Welcome to Story House Early Learning Maitland

Our service is set on over an acre of land in a converted church which provides a wonderful, rich history for the children and families to explore in our community. Early childhood education and care provides the foundation to learn for life.

Let your child’s learning story begin with us! We believe that the value of play is of utmost importance to children as it is their way of learning about their world.  While children play they are able to experiment with new ideas, test theories and their understanding of concepts, express their creative ability, release their emotions and share their feelings.

While engaging in play, children are developing across all domains and creating the building blocks for their future.  We are committed to assisting and supporting families and being active participants within our local community. We consider ourselves to be an early education hub, networking multiple early childhood agencies together to support families and their children.

You'll be amazed by our strong connections with the children and our families, our strong connections with the local community and schools, the engaging learning programs, the unique learning environments, our nutritious menu prepared on site each day by our service chef and the extra curricular activities we offer.

Nothing matters more to us than the education, health and well-being of every child who enters our service.

So, from our family to yours, we welcome you to Story House Early Learning Maitland.

We adore Story House Maitland! We have been with the centre for three years and appreciate the core staff who have been a stabilising and consistent influence on our children’s lives in this time. Nothing is ever too big or too silly to ask the staff. We are always greeted with a friendly face and have really positive working relationships with all staff caring for our children. The centre environment is so well planned and each classroom has been curated around the children’s interests and current learning. The outside space at the centre is another desirable feature; there are simply no other centres that can offer such a large and safe outdoor space for children that allows them to explore and enjoy nature. Childcare plays such an important part in not just children’s lives but the whole family. We are so grateful for Story House Maitland - we highly recommend the service to everyone we meet.
I recently shared this feedback on Google, so I'm sharing again here - This centre is awesome! I love that there is history here, being a converted church - it gives the centre so much warmth and it certainly has a story to tell - to be honest, that's what initially attracted me to the centre. I didn't want a sterile, brand new centre for my little one - I loved the charm, and then was super impressed by the team of educators caring for my child. Their warmth, and genuine love for the children is simply beautiful! I very proudly recommend Story House Maitland to all of my friends who are looking for care for their little people.
