Harmony Broadbeach is incredible and I can’t recommend them enough! The centre itself is visually beautiful, very clean, secure and has an amazing chef on site. You are greeted with smiles and positivity everyday by Lily and Erin the excellent director and relationship managers there. Every single staff member that I have encountered has been extremely friendly, respectful and patient and you can tell that they genuinely love coming to work and interacting with the children. My son loves going to Harmony which has made my transition back to work so much easier as I know he is in the best hands. Thank you to all the amazing educators who go above and beyond everyday!

About Harmony Early Education Broadbeach

The Harmony Difference

We bring a sense of calm to the years that define early childhood with a composure that is all at once confident and reassured, that can only come from knowing every detail has been carefully and consciously curated.

Beautifully composed from the inside-out, we set a tone and a standard, that says “exceptional” in every way. When all the elements work together in harmony – the environment, the people, the curriculum – it is powerful and wonderful.  It is all you could want for your child, and more.

At Harmony, everything we do, is carefully considered and intentional, taking the best from educational philosophy and evidence-based design to create studios and spaces that nurture, protect and grow.

We consistently raise the standards for early education. Our holistic approach to early learning and development is informed by contemporary inquiry-led educational and human research, and the insights of respected international early childhood theorists.

Your child is considered a confident and capable member of our learning community, we embrace the unique and understand the power of celebrating individuals. By recognising and responding to each child’s unique learning disposition and style, we ensure your child’s learning journey is bespoke, and support their ability to contribute to their own and others’ learning.

Harmony is elevating early education.

Either via short transition sessions which happen daily, or longer dedicated movement sessions focused on building physical and other skills via engaging play-based activities. Physically literacy is about so much more than ‘being active’ and ‘fit’. A physically literate child has the movement skills, motivation and confidence to seek out and enjoy a physically active lifestyle now and in the future. Environments affect our outlook and how we feel. The Harmony approach is to create a sanctuary that creatively supports the needs of children, families and educators and inspires dialogue, development and ongoing conversation without compromising aesthetic. Harmony partners with international experts in playscape and environment design and heavily invests in the professional development of our educators and support teams to maximise the learning experience within the varying spaces. Children have a choice of indoor and outdoor learning, collaborative play, projects, investigating topics of interest, imaginative and socio-dramatic creative play, engagement in the arts and more. Children being active participants in their learning means they make choices and contribute to decisions about learning experiences.

Health and Nutrition

Nutrition

We recognise the importance of healthy foods and drinks for your child’s growth and well-being. That’s why we are dedicated to offering wholesome, nutritious, and balanced meals every day. Additionally, we fully support breastfeeding mothers and warmly welcome you to come into your child’s studio to feed at any time.

About the curriculum

About the curriculum

In our studios, especially designed for children birth – two years, we draw upon these key concepts:

Free movement

We believe in Emmi Pickler’s philosophy, “Babies are allowed to move naturally and spontaneously follow their own developmental timetable.” Environments at Harmony are designed to invite children’s free movement and we encourage the infants to reach out, roll, crawl and cruise in order to develop their core muscles which supports them to become independently mobile.

Baby led weaning

We invite children to feed themselves from the time they commence solids, following the infant’s lead. We provide a healthy, balanced mix of finger foods and support the child to monitor how much they wish to eat. Educators are always sitting and engaging with the child during mealtimes.

Individualised care moments

Educators remain ‘present’ during nappy change times and communicate respectfully with children. Emmi Pikler and Magda Gerber believe caregivers need to take the time to make nappy-changing, feeding, bathing and dressing an unhurried, relaxed and pleasant quality time – with the baby being an active partner.

Exploratory times

Each day children at Harmony have uninterrupted time for play and interaction. Crawling and walking infants are invited to freely explore our indoor and outdoor areas and gardens, interacting with nature, each other, and the world around them. Non-mobile infants are supported by our educators.

Centre philosophy

Centre philosophy

Parent Partnerships

We have the privilege to exist as an extension of a child’s family. We believe in collaborating closely to understand and meet your family’s need and interests. We value and encourage parental input through honest, gentle, and supportive conversations, fostering a sense of belonging and assurance.

Parent communication and involvement

Parent Communication

Communication with you as a parent/carer is a non-negotiable at Harmony. We want you to stay informed during each step of your child’s experiences, especially in regard to their learning, development and special moments.

Best childcare centre - super-friendly, smart & caring staff, beautiful facilities and a child-centred, modern approach to education. We've had our 2 children in various childcare centres across SYD, MEL & GC and this is by far the best childcare centre we've ever been a part of. Our son has been at Harmony for 3 years and moved across different rooms and he's had a great time in all of them! The staff are absolutely wonderful - genuinely caring, always have time for the kids/parents and they take time to get to know the children well. I've also loved having amazing male carers like Ash and Marky as wonderful male role models for our son. The rooms, facilities and activities are carefully planned and always made with very good understanding of what works for each age. The toys/activities in each rooms are always fun but also a little bit challenging, to encourage them to learn and push themselves - at the start of the year, none of the kids could do the monkeybars - by the end of it, they're all queuing up to show off their skills when parents come to pick them up! The setting itself is beautiful - lovely building decorated in modern but homely Hamptons style that is very welcoming and pleasant for kids and parents alike. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted to friendly smiles by the reception staff and chef and delicious smells coming from the kitchen. When I first visited, I asked if they offered co-working space as it's such a nice setting! The education program is also very thoughtfully planned, yet fun for the kids. They've learnt about different cultures, careers, environment, science, biology and much more. Celebrating diversity, First Nations cultures, protecting the planet and encouraging generosity through various donation drives etc is also often on the schedule which is wonderful. Absolute highlight was the wonderful Showcase event at the end of the kindergarten year that showed off all their activities and creations from the year and it was such a joyous event for both kids and parents. All the staff have been wonderful but a special shout out to Eilish, Marky, Rocio, Sandra, Ash, Shannon, Gabby & front desk staff Erin, Maddie & Georgie - thank you for looking after our little dude so well!

Our daughter has been attending Harmony Broadbeach Waters Childcare Centre since the end of March 2025 and she has absolutely thrived since day one. The atmosphere at the centre truly feels like family — every morning when we drop our daughter off, we feel as though we’re leaving her with people who love and care for her as much as we do. 💛 The Centre Director, Erin, is without doubt the best director we’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. She consistently goes above and beyond to accommodate families, showing incredible flexibility and genuine care for everyone’s needs. Erin is highly professional, always delivers on her word and everything she commits to is done promptly and to the highest standard. Her exceptional organisational skills, warm personality, and ability to foster a true sense of community make this centre such a special place. Under her leadership, both children and parents feel valued, supported, and included. Knowing Erin is at the helm gives us complete peace of mind that our daughter is in the very best hands. 🌿 All of the educators in our daughter's room are amazing, but we would especially like to highlight Miss Emily, Miss Xavier, and Miss Paige. ✨ Miss Emily is an absolute ray of sunshine — she greets every child with genuine warmth and a big smile each day. Her kindness and positivity create such a joyful, nurturing atmosphere. She has been a huge support in helping our daughter with toilet training, showing patience and encouragement every step of the way. She also supported us during difficult times when she was unwell and needed extra attention — something we’re so grateful for. ✨ Miss Xavier and Miss Paige, though newer to the room, have quickly earned our trust and respect. They are both compassionate, professional and skilled at connecting with children of all personalities. Their care, attention and calm presence shine through in everything they do. We see the educators as part of our team and together we always strategise the best ways to support our daughter — especially if any behavioural challenges arise. There’s never any tension or misunderstanding, only collaboration, respect and shared care. This partnership has made such a difference in our daughter’s development. We can clearly see her progress — her confidence has grown, her social skills have flourished and she now has a few best friends in her room. She absolutely loves going to school (how she calls it) and looks forward to it every day. In fact, we often have more trouble picking her up than dropping her off — she simply doesn’t want to leave! 🥰 We also want to acknowledge the centre’s amazing chef, Jone. His menus are wonderfully diverse, healthy, and full of flavour — with fresh fruit, vegetables, and wholesome treats like muffins and cakes. He rotates the menu every two weeks and each season, ensuring the children enjoy variety and nutrition all year round. Beyond this, Jone’s friendly smile and warm greetings add such a lovely touch to the centre. The delicious aromas from his kitchen fill the air daily, making mealtime a highlight for both children and parents! 👨‍🍳 In every way, Harmony Broadbeach Waters is exceptional — caring educators, amazing leadership, nutritious food, and a family-like environment where children truly flourish. We couldn’t recommend this centre more highly. It’s a place where children are not only cared for, but loved. 💛🌸
