It gives me great pleasure to be able to provide a testimonial for Julie. She has taken care of our son Flynn since he was one and a half years old. He is now four and has absolutely thrived since he has been with Julie. Julie does what she does because she loves children and this is evident in the time and energy that she invests in their development, on a social, cognitive and physical level. She takes them to playgroups, story time at the library and activities in the park as well as spending time on their motor skills development and speech development (to name a few). She worked very closely with us to toilet train Flynn and is committed to ensuring that the children in her care are respectful and that they use their manners. She keeps us informed as to how Flynn is progressing and what he has been up to. Flynn brings home the most amazing paintings and drawings and is always keen to tell us what he has been up to at Julies. She is very open, honest and approachable and welcomes our questions. Julie takes the provision of care for the children very seriously and it was due to Julie's observation and care for Flynn's well being that she mentioned to us that Flynn was missing some of his speech sounds. We made an appointment with a speech therapist who confirmed that Flynn would benefit from some intervention. We are really grateful that this was picked up before he goes to prep next year and Julie continues to work with Flynn to help him with his speech. Julie's house is always spotless and she has the most amazing play area for the children, both indoors and outdoors. She is very fastidious when it comes to safety and cleanliness and has always passed any safety audits with flying colours. Flynn will often come home and remind his older brother that he needs to wash his hands before eating and even reminds his Dad that he needs to brush his teeth and have a shower! Julie is also actively involved in Family Day Care as a mentor to other providers as well as being actively involved in the continuous improvement of the processes and procedures of Family Day Care. This is further testament to her commitment to her role. If you would like any further feedback please don't hesitate to contact me through Julie. Kristel Osborne
