After having 2 children in the centre since late 2022 I am so glad we are out. There was an incredible decline in the way the centre was run, with management completely loosing their way. There has been a huge turnover in staff, that is often not communicated to parents properly. This has had a massive impact on the children and how they settle into their rooms every day. The kinder program is poorly run, again with high staff turnover and a lack of structure. In the beginning they had a dedicated art room which the children loved, this was quickly replaced as another room so they could increase numbers, and now just sits there as a dumping room after a sharp decline in enrolment numbers. There were several incidents where my child was bitten by another child, the centre failed to document this properly, and they tried to down play what happened. The child who was biting my child was also known to have bitten others and the centre failed to manage this over the course of 2 years. There were many occasions upon drop off (at 8.30am) where ratios were not been maintained - instead the manager would often lean on 'roof line rations' as the excuse. One particular morning there was no educator in my daughters room and myself along with other parents had to go and locate somebody so we could safely leave our children. After giving 4 weeks notice that we were leaving (as per their policy) my daughters enrolment was abruptly ended with no notice after 2 weeks - she was not allowed back for a final day to say goodbye to her friends or educators. Management took their frustration that a few families were leaving out on me and in the crossfire punished a 4yr old. The only positive I have to say is that there are a handful of educators there who are fabulous and deserve recognition. They work in incredibly hard conditions, often short staffed within minimal support from management. I would highly advise that you do not send your children here. There are many other centres in the area that offer better care.

Our daughter has attended this childcare since she was just 4 months old and is now heading off to school this year. Over the past five years, we have watched her grow, learn, and thrive in ways we couldn’t have imagined. The learning experiences have been wonderful, with weekly gymnastics and swimming being a highlight that she absolutely loves. The educators are truly amazing many of them have been with her since she first started, which has created such a strong sense of trust, loving bond and care. She adores her teachers, and we’ve always felt confident knowing she was in such capable and nurturing hands. The large outdoor play yard and engaging learning environment have played a huge role in her development, both socially and emotionally. Saying goodbye after five years will be incredibly bittersweet, but we are so grateful for everything this childcare has given our family. We couldn’t recommend a better place for children to learn, grow, and feel loved.

In my experience, the management at this centre is very poor. It feels like they focus more on the business side rather than genuinely caring for the children’s well-being and development. I would not recommend this centre based on what I have seen. There are many better options nearby that offer a more caring and supportive environment for children.

They will bleed you dry with hidden fees charged because their system is unstable. When you are forced to move your children because one is miserable in Collards' care, management will force your traumatised children to keep attending for 4 weeks. All for the $$.

Absolutely so greatful that we found Collards for our son, we moved him from another centre and it was the best thing we did. Paige, Swati and Hannah and so caring and we feel so at ease having them in his care. Helen is also so great for any questions or communication we need she's always prompt and great to talk to. The facilities are nice and clean and our son loves the food cooked fresh by the chef.

It’s been a month that I’ve been with this center and they’re great. The educators are amazing. Swati, Paige and Hannah are super caring, supportive and kind. I can go to work with ease of mind. The management is also fantastic

My son has been attending Collards Family Kindergarten since he was 4 months old he has now been there for 2 years. He settled in really well and he looks forward to attending each day. The educators are great and he has formed really good bonds with each of them. Highly recommend

Undoubtedly one of the best childcare centers in Melbourne My little princess favourite educators Swati and Suman they both is the best 10/10 I cannot recommend it highly enough. My daughter has been attending Collard Family Kindergarten for only 4 weeks , and it has truly become her second home. Every morning, she eagerly runs toward her play room, excited to start her day. My husband and I feel incredibly fortunate to have found this place and have loved it from day one we went for the orientation ❤️ The space, both indoor and outdoor, is fantastic. It's spacious and beautifully designed, with each room having its own facilities for various activities. Despite being a good size center, it maintains a family-like atmosphere. Swati the room leader, and her exceptional team Suman are remarkable at fostering this sense of community. They offer numerous extra activities for parents, families and for the children. They genuinely care for each child, always being welcoming and helpful, with great attention to detail. A special shoutout goes to the fantastic team of educators Swati and Suman. I am continually impressed and incredibly grateful for their outstanding work. They have wonderful relationships with every child, and the energy in the rooms is always high, regardless of the time of day. There are always plenty of activities, laughter, and happiness. Thank you so much to the entire team for putting your heart into your work and making this such a special place and a fantastic journey for our little ones! All the best 💯

So happy we chose to send our son to Collards! The facilities are beautiful and modern, the staff are exceptional and our little one loves the days he gets to spend here. We feel so welcome and comfortable here.

Great place for our kids, friendly and kind staff. You can tell that they care about the kids. Highly recommend them.
