At Rivergum Early Learning Centre, our mission consists of providing a warm and nurturing environment where children feel safe. Our unique Childcare Centre offers various activities that are specifically designed to encourage each child’s growth. Through cooperative play and creative activities, kids reach their social, emotional and physical milestones naturally and with ease.
Our unique programs incorporates a variety of educational theories, while always keeping the child’s best interest in mind and allowing for hands-on, experiential learning.
We are located at 11/538 Plenty Road Mill Park, which is within the Rivergum Shopping Village. We are conveniently located right next door to the Rivergum Medical Centre.

At Rivergum Early Learning Centre, our mission consists of providing a warm and nurturing environment where children feel safe. Through cooperative play and creative activities, kids reach their social, emotional and physical milestones naturally and with ease.
- Rivergum Early Learning Centre Team
From painting and sensory play to drawing and weekly dance and music classes, the programs at Rivergum Early Learning Centre encourage the children to explore their creativity. There is also an outdoor play program that focuses on the children’s gross motor development.
The Rivergum Early Learning Centre curriculum is designed around five key learning areas - identity, community, wellbeing, learning and communication. Through permanent learning areas – including home corner, literacy area and art/craft area – the children are free to play and explore their imaginations. This helps them to develop their self-awareness as they understand the world around them.
Morning
Blake is 11-months-old and loves being around the other children at Rivergum Early Learning Centre. In the morning, he enjoys digging in the sandpit.
Lunch
After lunch, Blake and the other children from the Nursery have a music class. Blake claps his hand as the educators sing a song and show the children different musical instruments.
Afternoon
It’s time for reading in the afternoon. Blake explores some different books and the educators read to all of the children.
Morning
Lucie is 2-years-old. Her current favourite activity is to play in the home corner. That’s where she heads as soon as she arrives at Rivergum ELC every morning.
Lunch
One of Lucie’s other favourite activities is painting so she is delighted after lunch when the educators have organised a fun art activity. Today the children are painting a rainbow.
Afternoon
In the afternoon, Lucie and the other Toddlers head to the outdoor play space. Lucie spots a butterfly which she chases around the yard. Once the butterfly flies away, she pretends to be a butterfly, flapping her wings as she runs around.
Morning
Lachlan is 4.5-years-old and an active Kinder child. His morning at Rivergum Early Learning Centre starts with a dancing class. The educators play his favourite song and he is very engaged in the class as an enthusiastic participant.
Lunch
The Kinder children move to the sandpit after lunch. The educators bury some shells in the sand for Lachlan and his friends to find.
Afternoon
In the afternoon, the educators have organised a science experiment for the Kinder children. Lachlan is amazed at the results of the experiment and is still talking about it when his dad arrives to pick him up.

Rivergum Early Learning Centre has been a great choice for our family. The centre has a lovely, warm, family feel that made it easier for our children to settle in. Their communication is all via app and down to every granula detsil. With almost daily picture uploads, you know your child is safe, happy, fed and well through out the days. The educators are also kind and nurturing, and genuinely care about the kids, which is really reassuring as a parent. I've referred mums to the centre who are also equally happy.

I couldn’t be happier with my son’s childcare! The staff are absolutely amazing—so warm, caring, and attentive. They treat the children like their own family, creating a nurturing environment that truly stands out. The centre is always clean and well-organized, and they pay close attention to every little detail. My 2-year-old is excited to go every single day, which speaks volumes about how comfortable and happy he feels there. Before choosing this centre, I visited several others, but this one stood out immediately and now, over a year later, I can confidently say it was the best decision I’ve made. I’m so grateful for the wonderful care they provide!
