SeeMore Safety Visits Playmakers! 🦺📚 This morning, our Kinder children were treated to a special visit from SeeMore Safety, part of the KIDS Foundation's internationally recognised early years safety education program. Through engaging storytelling, interactive discussion, and a fun character visit from SeeMore himself (or herself, thanks Mandy!), our little learners explored important safety concepts in a way that was fun, relatable, and meaningful. Together, they learned to identify safe and unsafe behaviours in everyday environments and took home their own activity books to continue the learning at home. At Playmakers, we believe play sparks little minds—and this incursion beautifully combined play-based learning with essential life skills. We’re so proud of how confidently our Kinder children shared their ideas and embraced the message: think safe, play safe! #PlaySparksLittleMinds #playmakersearlylearning #childsafety #kidsfoundation #thinksafeplaysafe #earlylearning #altonameadows #Seabrook #pointcookcommunity #laverton #careforkids

Big smiles, bright colours, and even brighter futures 🎨✨ Earlier today in Prabu Village, we were lucky enough to capture some special moments at the preschool classroom — a humble baruga filled with laughter. The children have been exploring their creativity through painting activities using their new art supplies. The space may be simple, but the energy is certainly rich with creativity. Their teachers are doing incredible work with limited resources, and it’s heartwarming to see how far a little support can go. We're constantly inspired by the spirit of this community. 🌱💛 #PlaymakersEarlyLearning #playsparkslittleminds #GiveBack #Art #PreschoolInPrabu #EducationMatters #CommunitySupport #BarugaClassroom #careforkids

🦷✨ Today was all smiles at Playmakers! We had a special visit from the wonderful Claire of The Dental Squad at Dental District (based just across the road from us on Central Ave), helping our little learners feel confident and curious about caring for their teeth. These early experiences make a big difference — helping children build positive habits around oral hygiene and removing the fear that can sometimes come with a trip to the dentist. At Playmakers, we believe health and wellbeing go hand-in-hand with learning through play — and that includes healthy smiles too! ✅ Ask us how to book your child’s next check-up or how you can access free dental visits through the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS). Let’s keep those smiles shining! 😁 #babyteeth #dentist #PlaySparksLittleMinds #careforkids

🐣 From Egg to Chick – A Kinder Adventure! 🐥 Over the past few weeks, our Kinder children have been part of something truly special – the journey of our baby chicks from egg to hatching and beyond! 💛 Led by our amazing Kindergarten teacher Renee, and supported by our Educational Leader Mandy, the children had daily opportunities to observe, feed, water, and of course, gently pat the chicks as they grew. Renee and Mandy worked together to create a rich, hands-on learning experience—Mandy even popped in on weekends to check in and care for our feathery friends! 🐤❤️ Our curious Kinder crew became little scientists – journaling their observations, listening to the chicks’ sounds, noticing differences in colour, learning how they eat and drink, and observing (with plenty of giggles) the mess they made along the way! 📝✨ We discussed the complete life cycle of a chicken—from egg, to hatching, to growing into an adult—and it sparked so many questions, conversations and discoveries. #PlaymakersEarlyLearning #LearningThroughPlay #KinderLife #FromEggToChick #CuriousLittleMinds #PlaySparksLittleMinds #careforkids

🌏 From Altona Meadows to Prabu Village: A Shared Love of Learning and Play At Playmakers Early Learning, we believe that play sparks little minds — and it’s something we saw firsthand during a very special visit to Prabu Village in South Lombok, Indonesia. Our co-owner Ryan and his wife Dina had the privilege of visiting a grassroots preschool on the hill above Kuta, where a remarkable man named Pak Aziz and his friends have taken it upon themselves to create a learning space for the village’s children. With no government support and very limited resources, this incredible group is building a place where children, some as young as three, can experience what learning is like before beginning their formal education at age seven — a journey that starts with a long walk to the nearest state school. Lessons are currently held under a Baruga — a small, open-sided hut offering shade and shelter. With up to 30 children in attendance, it’s a lively and joyful space. Ryan and Dina delivered some much-needed art and craft supplies on behalf of our Playmakers community, and were met with warm smiles, songs, and a heartfelt sense of gratitude. The teachers proudly showed them the beginnings of what will one day become a permanent school building — a tin roof and a bare frame full of possibility. We were truly inspired by the resilience, community spirit, and love of learning we saw in Prabu. While our contribution was small, we’re honoured to support their efforts and look forward to finding new ways to connect and share. We’ll also be working with our 3-Year-Old Kindergarten teacher Jessica, who is Indonesian, to help our children learn more about the language and culture of the Sasak people of Lombok, and the wider Indonesian community. From Prabu to Altona Meadows, children everywhere live to play — and through play, they grow, connect, and thrive. 💛 #PlaymakersEarlyLearning #GlobalCommunity #LombokConnection #SasakCulture #LearningThroughPlay #PlaySparksLittleMinds #careforkids
