Fantastic place, our daughter has been here for 2 years now, in 2 different rooms (1-2y and 2-3y). For both rooms/years, the staff were fantastic. They have a very good balance between caring and teaching. They have exhibitions every now and then for parents to see what kids have been doing. They also have very detailed daily and weekly updates, with specifics about your child. Staff are always available to chat and discuss your child, and are very supportive of your child’s individual journey. Daughter loves it and looks forward to going there. Centre leadership is fantastic, led by Cathy. It’s a strong community feel, where everyone knows each other. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

Our little boy joins Starfish Guppies Room from October 2025. Although he may not yet have fully learned to enjoy his days at Starfish, the progress he has made has far exceeded our expectations. Before starting at Starfish, he had never been away from us for even an hour — one of us was always by his side. We were delighted to see that by the end of his first month, he had already stopped crying loudly during separation. We had once worried that he might struggle to adapt for a long time or even experience emotional distress. Also, he learned to eat with a spoon, and learned to speak a little words... We are so happy to see his progress. For us, choosing Starfish for him may have been a small step, but for him, beginning his social journey at Starfish was a giant leap. We are deeply grateful to the entire Guppies Team for taking such wonderful care of our boy. We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to the management team for their outstanding work, which made it easy and enjoyable for us to connect with Starfish. Everyone are so amazing here. My daughter is in Starfish Blackburn since she was two and a half years old. We are very satisfactory with all the things they provided to us. It's a safe and nurturing place for children to grow and learn. Thank you so much to all the educators and lovely staff in Starfish. I really appreciate everything you have done for me and my kid. I have no regret to send my daughter here. Starfish Blackburn is definitely one of the best kinders in town.

Our child has been at Starfish Blackburn for over a year and a half, commencing when he was 9 months old. Throughout this time, I have observed the centre to be clean and staff (from all levels of care) to be approachable and welcoming. I personally feel that the size of the centre is much more appropriate than other larger/newer centres, with younger age groups needing more supervision which the service caters for. Upon collection, I receive thorough updates on my child’s day and I feel that this approach is personal and shows a genuine interest in my child’s development. The staff go above and beyond, taking the time to assist me with any concerns and also implement any strategies which would be beneficial to my child’s development. I would like to highlight that my child is rarely ill, and all centre incidents result in swift contact and notification. Communication with the centre is of a high standard, and the centre supervisor Cathy is professional and caring. Special mention to staff members Shirley, Pixie, Sarah, Santina and Mary.

My son has been going to Starfish full time since 10 months old. We always thought this is a great center even so many red flags throughout the year. My son's GP advised us to move him out of this center early this year which I ignored; during term 2-3 holiday, his kinder teacher from the sessional kindergarten also asked us if we can keep him at home instead of sending him to starfish, but I didn't listen. I regret so much that I didn't listen to their advised and let my son suffered so much in this place. I cried and apologised to my son after knowing how his life looks like here. We are going through a very long healing process, luckily everyone noticed he's now much happier! I have no idea how they can have this exceeding national standards ranking.

Our child has been in the Starfish room for many years, and it’s been a wonderful experience! He has truly enjoyed his time there with friends, making memories and learning. The teachers, like Misa, Mijeong, Judy, Erine, Mary and Sarah etc., have been incredibly supportive and caring. They always go the extra mile to involve the children in fun and engaging activities that help them learn and grow. We are so grateful for the love and guidance they’ve given our child over the years. Starfish has been more than just a daycare; it’s been a second home.

We are so grateful for the wonderful experience our child had at Starfish. The staff at Starfish were incredibly kind, caring, and supportive throughout the years. They created a nurturing and positive environment that allowed our child to learn, grow, and thrive. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication. We will always treasure these memories.

We wanted to believe this is a good childcare, until my kid is now old enough to tell me what is going on behind the closed door. Poor communication, leak of leadership. My kid is traumatised by the experience here, there are a few good educators but not the majority. No respects to children and the family at all. We are shocked to hear how the children are being treated there.

A distinguished experience that truly amazed us. What a journey it has been! Our little boy didn't settle in another centre during 2022 as there were several issues so we moved him. Then in his next ELC he somewhat settled okay but we eventually observed negligible progress. Finally when he made it to Starfish, he settled in and then we began to observe various positives that we hadn't encountered before. Needless to say, with the level of professionalism and expertise of staff combined with their tenderness of approach and personalities, our little one continues to positively experience key social skills which teaches him to build on relationships and interactions - all invaluable things that children will benefit from in their lifetime. Starfish continually drives outcomes with measured success.

James has been attending Starfish Early Learning Centre for 3 years now and during this time I have watched him grow emotionally, academically and as an individual who is now confident within himself and looking forward to starting school next year. I put this down to the innovative and engaging programs, quality educators and wonderful centre leadership by Cathy who is always there to greet us with a ready smile and winning attitude each and every day as we step through the door. Starfish will always have a special place in my heart for giving James the start I wanted to prepare him for school and early life in general. Well done to the team at Starfish for playing such an instrumental part in helping to shape his early years in such a positive and engaging way.
