During my time with Abracadabra I have worked for many families with children ranging in age from newborn to teenage years. I have experience with getting the children up and ready for the day, preparing breakfast, dressing, organising fun daily outings to the park/library/shops/play dates.  Fun activities in the home including arts and crafts, stories and reading, stimulating play and educational activities.  All associated household duties to assist with the smooth running of the household.

Roles & Responsibilities: Caring for three children aged 8, 6 & 2 years at commencement where duties include getting two eldest ready for school, preparing nutritional snacks and meals, school drop-off, daily outings, changing nappies, settling, feeding, walks to the park, gymbaroo and playgroups, arts and crafts, music and dance, stimulating play and activities, educational play and activities and all household duties.

Roles & Responsibilities: Caring for three children aged 8, 6, 3 and a newborn along the way. The children are now aged 14, 12, 9 and 6 years. Susan was responsible for following a busy schedule with four kids, getting them ready for school, school drop off and pick up, stimulating play and activities, educational games and fun activities such as arts and crafts, music and dance and cooking. Accompanying the children to after school activities, assisting with homework, preparing nutritional snacks and meals and the running of a smooth household and its administration. In this role, the mum worked from home most of the time which initially at times was challenging with the children knowing mum was there, but Susan was open to discussions and suggestions on how to better improve the situation and it worked very well not long thereafter.

Roles & Responsibilities: Caring for one 5 month old at commencement and a newborn along the way. The children were aged 3.5 years and 21 months on leaving. Susan was responsible for changing nappies, following a routine, settling, preparing bottles, introducing solids, reading, arts and crafts, fun games and activities, preparing snacks and meals, daily outings, walks to the park and all household duties. Susan still keeps in touch with this family and continues to babysit for them when needed. The family has since had a further 2 children so Susan would have 4 in her care at the one time.

Roles and Responsibilities: Regularly minding children from two families on separate occasions with children aged 2, 6 and 8 years and 1, 8 and 12 years where duties would include all of those listed above in Susan’s more recent roles as a nanny.
