I was responsible for the care of two little childaren aged 3.5 years and 2 years whilst Mum was in hospital.  It was very early morning to late afternoon shifts where my duties included the getting the childrnen up and ready for the day, prepare breakfast, organise daily outings to the park/library and visit Mum in the hospital.  I also orgnaised fun activities in the home such as arts and crafts, stories and reading, letters and numbers, puzzles, play doh, cooking, preapring snacks and meals and ensruing the household was maintained in a clean manner.  I also ran a few errands for this family also.

I was working alongside a group of other carers at this great event and we were responsible for engaging with the children on all levels.  The age ranges where from newborn to 4 years and I was responsible for settling, feeding bottles, changing nappies, painting, play doh, singing songs, reading books, playing games and with toys. Liaising with parents and event organisers and feeding bottles, snacks and settling for naps.

This was a great event being held by a company who invited all Mums in for a luncheon that were on Maternity leave so the children were all newborns through to 12 months.  They had a separate room set up with all the fun age appropriate activities including arts and crafts, story books, blocks, puzzles, games.  I was responsible for engaging with the children on all levels and liaising with the event organisers, feeding bottles, changing nappies and ensuring the children's safety was a priority at all times.
