Ambrose School Age Care provides professionally structured services at St Monica’s Primary – before and after school, on pupil-free days, and during school holidays.
These active, engaging, and fun programs for K-6 children are held within our school grounds at North Parramatta, so your children don’t have to travel for supervised care.
Qualified Ambrose educators provide a safe and engaging environment for your child to learn and grow. Every activity is tailored to their interests and focused on developing their confidence, curiosity, and resilience.
Our programs are all about building inspired minds and healthy bodies. Our children enjoy everything from science experiments and creative expression to indoor games. Plus, there’s lots of outdoor play too with sports, group games and plenty of opportunities to build confidence. During the school term, children are also helped with their homework.
On pupil-free days we keep your children engaged all day, learning and socialising, with the perfect balance of active and creative experiences.
During the school holidays, we run Vacation Care for K-6 children. It’s filled with fun themes, exciting activities, and lots of friends! Even though this service is held on the grounds of our school, children from all faiths and schools are welcome.
Our program is based on the “My Time, Our Place” framework – which focuses on children’s interests and ensures we provide a program they love. Activities include excursions (where we go out into the community), workshops (where a special activity comes to us), games, sports, crafts, and much more.
In January 2012 the National Quality Framework (NQF) came into effect across Australia.
The purpose of the NQF is to improve and standardise the quality of child care through a
range of measures including better staff to child ratios, higher staff qualifications
and an assessment and rating system designed to promote continuous improvement.
Under the NQF child care services are assessed and rated against the National Quality Standards (NQS).
The NQS measures the quality of early childhood education and care in Australia. It will cover
most long day care, family day care, preschool/kindergarten and outside school hours care services.
Under these standards child care services will be assessed and rated against the
seven quality areas, 18 standards and 58 elements that make up the NQS.
