KU Craigieburn goes beyond childcare. We create a safe and nurturing environment where childhood is celebrated.
We are proud of our strong reputation of providing rich education and care tailored to each child’s needs in a family-focussed and supportive way.
Our highly experienced and dedicated teachers and educators build strong, trusting relationships with each child, fostering a sense of belonging and confidence.
KU Craigieburn was a finalist at the prestigious HESTA ECEC Awards in 2023, where we were recognised as an ‘Outstanding Service’ for our dedication to embracing cultural diversity and understanding, fostering inclusion and a sense of belonging in children.
When children play and explore, their imagination and curiosity are sparked – they enjoy learning and are inspired to continue learning more.
Our play-based program intentionally provides a wide range of engaging opportunities and activities based on the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework.
We have a special interest in incorporating home languages and embracing cultural diversity in our program, enhancing children’s sense of belonging and identity and representing our true cultural context.
KU Craigieburn has been independently assessed by the Victorian Department of Education, and are proud to be rated as Exceeding the National Quality Standard.
We believe that the positive interactions children have with our staff are the most important component of our high quality program. Our team of teachers and educators are qualified, experienced, caring and motivated.
Our staff undergo continuous professional development, staying at the forefront of early childhood education.

I can’t say enough good things about KU Craigieburn From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and reassured. The staff are warm, professional, and genuinely care about each child. My little one absolutely loves going every day — they come home happy, well-fed, and full of stories about the fun activities, songs, and crafts they did. Read more

My daughter was enrolled at KU craigieburn last year in the toddlers room and I had a very positive experience there. At the time she had still not learned to walk on her two feet and we were getting a little anxious given she was already 18 months, though the nurses and midwives were reassuring us that she would eventually walk. Within weeks of her enrollment I saw a noticeable change in her attitude and saw her gain more and more confidence in attempting to walk. In a couple of months she took her first steps and we were overjoyed. During my interaction with the educators at KU Craigieburn I learnt how she was encouraged to walk daily there apart from the usual social and educational interactions. I am all but very grateful to the educators and staff there for their wonderful service. Their great work reflected in the marked difference I could see in her attitude and her social skills. Highly recommend KU Craigieburn children services. Read more

In January 2012 the National Quality Framework (NQF) came into effect across Australia.
The purpose of the NQF is to improve and standardise the quality of child care through a
range of measures including better staff to child ratios, higher staff qualifications
and an assessment and rating system designed to promote continuous improvement.
Under the NQF child care services are assessed and rated against the National Quality Standards (NQS).
The NQS measures the quality of early childhood education and care in Australia. It will cover
most long day care, family day care, preschool/kindergarten and outside school hours care services.
Under these standards child care services will be assessed and rated against the
seven quality areas, 18 standards and 58 elements that make up the NQS.
