Meet the team

Meet the team

We pride ourselves in having an amazing team, they range from a Centre Director that holds a wealth of knowledge, experience, qualifications and love for the childcare industry, to a charismatic trainee who has the immense love for children and education.

Amongst the team we have mothers and grandmothers who are full of joy and warmth, supported by their qualifications in Early Childhood Education and life experience in nurturing and educating children.

Safety

Safety

The safety and wellbeing of children is at the heart of everything we do. Our centre provides a secure, welcoming environment where children feel safe, confident and supported to learn and grow.

Our service operates in line with the National Quality Framework, maintaining appropriate educator-to-child ratios and constant supervision throughout the day. All educators hold relevant early childhood qualifications and maintain current training in first aid, CPR and child protection.

Our centre has secure entry procedures and carefully designed indoor and outdoor spaces that allow children to explore safely. We follow strict hygiene and cleaning practices, safe food handling procedures, and clear illness guidelines to support the health of all children.

For our youngest children, we follow recognised safe sleep practices and conduct regular checks during rest times. Emergency and evacuation procedures are practised regularly so our team and children are prepared and confident.

We believe strong partnerships with families are key to keeping children safe, and we encourage open communication with parents every day.

Centre philosophy

Centre philosophy

At our service, we are committed to building and maintaining positive, caring and respectful relationships with every child. We believe that children are capable, competent and full of potential. By actively listening to their voices, ideas and interests, we allow children to guide our practice and shape their own learning journeys.

We strive to create an environment that is welcoming, friendly and inviting from the moment children arrive. Our spaces are thoughtfully designed to encourage confidence, independence and a sense of belonging. We aim to create a true “home away from home,” where children feel secure, valued and comfortable — as though our service is a natural extension of their family life.

The health, safety and wellbeing of every child is our highest priority. We uphold the highest standards in health and safety practices to ensure children can explore, learn and grow in a secure and protected environment. We foster a culture of trust where children feel emotionally safe, supported and respected.

Our dedicated, experienced and passionate educators are carefully selected to support small focus groups of children according to their individual needs, strengths and interests. We work collaboratively as a team to provide meaningful, engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences both indoors and outdoors.

We take pride in creating environments that inspire curiosity, creativity and joy. Learning through play is at the heart of our program, and we ensure children have opportunities for fun, exploration and discovery every day. Our indoor and outdoor environments are engaging, stimulating and designed to promote growth across all developmental areas.

We support an inclusive environment and embrace the richness of different cultures, traditions and family backgrounds. By recognising and celebrating a variety of holidays and cultural events, we promote inclusion, respect and understanding within our community.

We empower children by encouraging self-help skills and fostering a strong sense of agency. We work alongside children to build confidence, independence and resilience, supporting them to make choices, solve problems and take ownership of their learning.

Through nurturing relationships, safe and engaging environments, and a commitment to excellence, we aim to create a service where every child feels loved, respected and inspired to grow.

My daughter can be a little hesitant at drop-off, but she always settles in quickly and is happy once there, which says a lot about how caring the educators are especially Ms Monty, Ms Cilla, Ms Maddie, Ms Deb, Ms Tiarna and Ms Annie. There were some other lovely teachers before too. Over the past few weeks, we’ve also noticed some great updates under the new owner, Georgette. Things like sports programmes, baby chicks and new toys that the kids have been really excited about. It’s been wonderful to see these positive changes, and we’re really grateful to be in a small but attentive centre like Narellan Childcare Centre.
