We honestly could not be happier with Niño Elsternwick. From day one, the staff have been so welcoming, friendly, and genuinely caring — they make you and your kids feel instantly comfortable and at home. Every educator truly cares about each child’s growth and success. You can see how dedicated they are, and how much effort they put into supporting learning, confidence, and emotional wellbeing. The facilities are amazing and there is always something fun and exciting happening — incursions, excursions, hands-on activities, and even pets, which the kids absolutely love. It’s such a great mix of fun and real learning. What really stands out is that it’s never “just childcare.” There is proper structure and ongoing teaching throughout the terms, with meaningful learning opportunities every day. The food is also amazing — such great quality with plenty of variety, and my kids eat so well there, which gives me so much peace of mind. Management is incredible too — nothing is ever too much to ask. They are always so helpful, approachable, and genuinely lovely, which makes such a difference as a parent. Most importantly, my kids feel safe, happy, and excited to go, and that means everything to me. I would absolutely recommend Niño Elsternwick to any parent looking for a nurturing, supportive, and high-quality childcare centre. We feel so lucky to be part of such a wonderful community. We can’t say enough about how wonderful our experience has been at Nino Elsternwick! The warm, inviting atmosphere makes you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. We absolutely love hearing the updates about our child’s special moments and milestones, which the team shares with such care and enthusiasm. A huge thank you to Laura, Sophie, and the entire team for their incredible dedication and love!

We have absolutely loved every minute of our time at Nino. Our son has truly thrived under their care, and we are so grateful for the warmth, support, and nurturing environment the centre provides. The educators go above and beyond to create a space where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to grow. Unfortunately, with our family relocating further away, the daily travel will no longer be feasible. It’s bittersweet to move on, as it will be very hard to find another centre that matches the special experience we’ve had at Nino. We will always treasure our time here and can’t thank the team enough for the positive impact they’ve had on our son and our family.

Edited after owner’s reply: I’m not posting this to argue or seek resolution, I have no ongoing relationship with this service. I’m sharing this to help other parents make informed choices, based on my own firsthand experience. While every parent’s expectations are different, I personally felt the care was more business-driven than child-focused. I also understand one of the centres under this company has recently made headlines regarding serious allegations. While I won’t comment further on that, I believe it reflects a wider need for scrutiny. In my opinion, there are serious issues with how this company operates Original review: I enrolled my two children at Nino Early Learning Centre after positive experiences at other daycares. My son, normally happy and social, became terrified to attend. I didn’t understand why, until I placed my six-month-old daughter there. On her very first day, she came home with a severe, bleeding nappy rash. The staff apologised and promised improvements, but nothing truly changed. Both my kids became clingy, withdrawn, and unhappy. I visited the centre frequently, and while staff seemed friendly on the surface, it felt very superficial. One day, I witnessed a crawling baby crying and following me, desperate to be picked up. No educator was present in the room. When I raised concern, one staff member snapped, “We don’t pick up crying babies here.” Later, the manager confirmed this is centre policy, to avoid back injuries. Honestly, if you’re too worried about hurting your back to comfort a 7-month-old baby, this is not the right industry. I’ve seen older educators elsewhere lovingly engage, lift, and nurture children without complaint. Saying a baby is “too heavy” to lift is the most pathetic excuse I’ve ever heard. In another instance, I found a sleeping child left alone in a room without supervision—completely against safety standards. At that point, I knew I had to pull my children out. They now attend a smaller, less flashy daycare and are absolutely thriving. They run in happily, don’t want to leave, and adore their educators. Parents, please watch your child’s behaviour. If your child needs warmth and emotional care, Nino may not be the right place. Trust your gut—no polished building or friendly greeting is worth your child’s wellbeing.

Since my daughter started care I’ve felt nothing but unwavering support and love! Sophie, Laura and Hayden at the front desk are always so welcoming and amazing! No matter what I’m always greeted, and given a report of my daughter’s day. Her room is engaging and loving, she has developed so much since starting at Niño and the staff is always so kind and gentle to not only the children but to the parents as well. I will always appreciate and love Niño, the way they have with my family! They always go above and beyond and I’ll never stop being thankful!
