Welcome to Mini Masterminds Waitara

OPENING IN 2023

Mini Masterminds Waitara caters to children aged 6 weeks to 5 years with a nurturing, inclusive and high-quality learning environment. Working within the context of every child’s unique needs, the educators get to know the children and empower them to pursue their interests. The children also participate in a vast range of extracurricular activities to support their holistic development.

Inside, the spacious rooms are well resourced to suit different learning styles and activities. The children enjoy a play-based approach to learning and have opportunities for spontaneous play along with experiences planned by the educators. From large and small group learning to individual time, the children are engaged in developing different skills.

In the outdoor play area, the children work on their physical and gross motor skills as they run, balance, jump, climb and crawl. They tap into their curiosity about the world and their sense of adventure for exciting imaginative play.

Located close to Westfield Hornsby and PCYC Park, the centre is a short walk to Hornsby station and multiple bus stops. Parents can also use the onsite parking for added ease. Why not book a tour of this diverse and welcoming centre today?

Programs

Mini Masterminds Waitara runs a range of inclusive extra-curricular activities, ensuring every child feels accepted and develops the ability to think, imagine and play freely. This includes:

Swim School: Children can learn to swim in a safe and nurturing environment, where they’ll also be building muscle, coordination and motor skills.

Sports program: For the children aged 3 and up, the centre offers the ‘Mini Champions’ sports program to develop fitness, self-esteem and confidence.

Language program: The children are taught languages from native speakers at the centre, further developing and strengthening their cognitive function and problem-solving skills.

Cooking program: The children can take part in fun and hands-on ‘Mini Chefs’ cooking classes, teaching basic cooking techniques, kitchen safety and making smart food choices.

Yoga program: Each week the children aged 2 and up will take part in ‘Mini Yoga Club’ at the centre. This practice is associated with learning, memory and regulating emotions.

Regular excursions: The children can extend their learning outside of the centre by taking part in excursions. Some examples include the Easter Show and visiting local parks for a picnic day.

In-house incursions: Some incursions include native wildlife and reptile visits, petting zoos, dentists visits and cultural exploration with visits from Indigenous artists.
