About Canley Heights World of Learning
Canley Heights World of Learning offers a fun and safe environment for your children to learn and play.
The centre is open from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm and provides quality care and education for children aged six weeks to six years.
Our experienced and qualified educators teach specialised programs based on the Early Years Learning Framework, including a School Readiness program aimed at preparing the children for school and beyond. Our aim is to provide experiences so that children become successful, competent and capable learners.
In addition to quality educational programs, the centre also provides nutritious meals for breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack.
At Canley Heights World of Learning the children also have the opportunity to participate in sustainable practices through the implementation of a Worm Farm composting system within the centre, to which they collect their fruits and vegetables scraps from their meal times, adding these to the worm farm to explore its process. The centre also has three onsite vegetable gardens, that are easily accessible for the children to participate in hands on experiences. With a sustainable program available at the centre the children develop an awareness of the impact of human activity on environments and the interdependence of living things.
Forming connections with our community we also provide the children with regular incursion and excursion experiences, that include regular outings to the local library and local schools, walks and picnics to the park and incursions that include visits from the local council programs, cultural performances such as dragon and lion dancing, aboriginal cultural inclusion programs and also quarterly visits from our local emergency departments. Excursions and incursions are also formed upon new learning discoveries and topics and are not limited to where they could take us.
We welcome you to drop in at any time to learn more.
Our centre is offering Flexible Hours to support families to make the most out of the government’s Child Care Subsidy. Consisting of nine-hour, ten-hour, and full day options, the new Flexible Hours model will give families the freedom to choose which hours best suit their individual circumstances. Families will not be limited by start and finish times like other models from competitors, and there will be no associated fees or conditions around the minimum amount of flexible hours days they are able to access. My two children attend this child care centre. It is new and very clean. Both my kids love it here. My son (3y/o) walks staight into his room in the morning and joins in with the activites and my daughter (18m) throws her hands out to go to her carers once she arrives. The carers are very attentive and friendly. They regularly keep me updated on how my kids' are progressing. They often schedule fun days for the kids: pyjama day, superhero day, crazy hair day etc. The carers are always encouraging parent involvement too, my kids love this. I know my children are well cared for and have fun during the hours I am away from them. Thanks for everything WOL! Karen
