Our Children
At Raising Stars, we believe that play-based learning is essential for children’s growth and development. Children learn best through play, and we are committed to creating engaging, stimulating environments where they can explore, discover, and learn at their own pace. We embrace diversity, ensuring that the needs and rights of every child and their family are respected and supported.
At Raising Stars Gregory Hills, we actively involve children in the planning of their daily learning experiences by incorporating their voices and choices into the curriculum. This approach not only values their perspectives but also empowers them to take an active role in shaping their learning journey.
Our Families
We understand that strong partnerships with families are integral to supporting each child's development. Together, we work to create individualized goals that address the unique needs, strengths, and interests of every child.
We encourage meaningful family involvement through regular communication, open-door access, and active participation in Centre events, excursions, and activities. This collaborative approach helps us build a holistic support system that nurtures the growth and development of each child.
Our Community
We are committed to fostering a positive sense of identity in each child, helping them become confident, engaged participants in their communities. We acknowledge the Dharug people as the traditional custodians of the land on which our Centre resides and strive to integrate Indigenous perspectives into our everyday practices. By promoting respect for our land and environment, we aim to deepen children’s understanding of cultural heritage and their role in caring for the world around them.
Our Program
The foundation of our educational program is rooted in the knowledge, ideas, culture, abilities, and interests of each child. Our curriculum, which is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards, is designed to be flexible and responsive, catering to each child's developmental needs and personal interests.
We actively seek and value family input, which helps shape our program and ensures that it remains relevant and meaningful to the children in our care. Through this collaborative approach, we aim to create an environment where every child feels seen, heard, and supported.
Our Educators
As educators, we are dedicated to providing the highest standard of care and education. We recognize that we serve as role models for the children and take this responsibility seriously. Our approach is grounded in professionalism, collaboration, and a shared commitment to delivering quality care and learning experiences.
We also prioritize the mental health and wellbeing of our staff through initiatives like our wellness program and wellness baskets, ensuring that our team remains supported and empowered to provide the best possible care for the children.
