2014 to Current : Solecharge Nanny, Stanley-Ferris Family

For the last five years Vashit has been working with a family as a referral through her own friend network. She has looked after Zachary since he was 6 months old. He is now in kindergarten and is turning six this month. She has also been looking after his little bother Arlo since he was six months old who has recently turned two. The last six months she has been looking after Arlo four days a week but now his father’s work situation has changed meaning Fridays are free. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays will continue with Arlo. Time spent with Arlo is lots of fun and also can be hard work as at the two year old stage -his words are now suddenly forming rapidly and his physical abilities mean he has to be watched closely as he is a fast mover. His communication is nurtured in reading early stage books (Spot the Dog has featured), singing, playing, drawing and lots of going in the pram to local parks and playgrounds where he is starting to have interactions with other children. Vashti loves engaging with children and believes in building their confidence, nurturing communication and skills development and also learning and playing in safe environments.

Oct 07 - Current : Casual Nanny/Babysitter, Abracadabra
During her time with us at Abracadabra, Vashti has undertaken many casual assignments both during the days as well as eves. We have also placed her in permanent part-time employment. Her duties have included caring for children from the ages of newborn to teenage years and the feedback has been excellent throughout.

2011-2013 : Part-time Nanny, Westbrook Family
Caring for one little boy aged 2 and a newborn sister where activities and duties include stimulating play and educational activities, daily outings, arts and crafts, stories and reading, settling, bathing and preparing nutritional snacks and meals including household duties. This placement was made through Abracadabra and feedback is excellent!

April 2011 - April 2012 : Casual Nanny/Babysitter - Tosic Family
Caring for one little boy aged 3.5yrs at commencement where activities and duties included, daily outings in the city, reading, numbers and letters, arts and crafts, music and dance, stimulating play and educational activities, settling for naps, preparing snacks and meals and household chores as well running errands.

Aug 2010 - Nov 2010 : Temporary Block Work - Solecharge Nanny - Sideris Family
Caring for one little girl aged 3 months where activities and duties included settling, feeding, bathing, daily outings, creating a happy and safe environment and general household duties.

April 08 - June 09 : Casual Nanny/Babysitter - Royan Family
Caring for three kids aged 4, 2 and 9months where activities and duties included getting the eldest child ready for school in the mornings, packing school bag and lunch and ensuring he had everything for the day, daily outings, arts and crafts, stimulating play and activities, stories and reading, bike rides, walks to the park and after school activities including assisting with homework and readers. General household duties also and preparing nutritional snacks and meals.

Mar 07 - Mar 2008 : Part-time Nanny, Christie Family Redfern
Caring for one boy aged 18 months at commencement. Duties have included changing nappies, feeding, bathing, settling and following a routine. Stimulating play and activities and outings to the park and other activities. General household duties.

Caring for one child from newborn to 3 years of age. Duties have included those listed above as well as educational games and activities and overnight stays.
