Reference: Miss Beth Andrews

I have had the privilege of knowing Beth for eleven months. During that time she was my teacher aid in the Prep room at Coolum Beach Christian Col lege.

Beth is a kind and caring person who treats people with respect and understanding . Beth's high moral character and lifestyle clearly show her interest in teaching children stro ng values and respect for others. She uses her own t ime and resources to ensure that students are given rich learning experiences where they can apply their learning in real life sit uat ions and where they can grow into lifelong learners.

Beth is con fo;lent in working with the whole class, small groups and one on one with children. Beth had no problems looki ng after small group literacy and math rotati ons. As a teacher I would sometimes be called away from the class for a meeting or if a parent wanted to talk with me in the morning before class, Beth would have to stand in for me and take over the class. This is showing  that she is flexible and able to adapt quickly to the situation in hand.

Beth has excellent communication skills where she was able to  confidently relate to  all the parents and staff at Coolum Beach Christia n College. Beth shows good organisational skills and is comp uter literate. She can work independent ly and is able to  follow through to  ensure the task is comp leted on time and at a high standard . Beth is very creative and willing to suggest id eas that will make the environment for children a happy and safe place. She has shown excellent skills in dealing with a range of children's in dividual needs and behaviour issues.

During her time at CBCC Beth was involved in various Early Years spec!al events. Some of these included Orientation days, Celebration nights, Graduation nights, Farther and Mother 's day events, Grandparents morning, Mini - Olympics day with the whole primary sch ool, the school Fete and any Prep Presentations and Performances.  With all these events Beth was very supportive and helped me make sure everything was organised. All the tasks that I asked her to do for these events were pursued with enthusiasm and diligence. Beth has a professional attitude to work which is evident in both her  manner  and practice.

I recommend Beth to you. Her skills suit any position where she is responsible for young children. She strives to provide a caring, safe and happy environment where childr en can achieve at their best.

Yours sincerely
Joanne Mi les
Early Childhood Teacher.
