Oct 2014 – May 2015
POTTERS BAR, LONDON
Private Nanny

I used to start work on a daily basis at 2:30pm, prior to preparing after school snacks and after school activity bags for two girls in my sole care, I did light housework; tidying the girl’s rooms, making their beds, emptying the children’s laundry baskets, clothes washing and drying, ironing, putting clean clothes in the children’s wardrobes, and emptying the dishwasher. Following this, I collected the two children from school (ages 8 and 5), took them to their extracurricular activities; ballet, tap, additional languages tutor, piano, swimming, cricket and tennis, I helped them to get ready, waited for them, collected them afterwards to bring them home, helped with homework, cooked dinner, cleaned up afterwards and prior to the arrival home of their parents I would get them ready for bed, having showers and a hair wash, brush their hair and teeth, prepare their school bags for the next day and leave them by the front door and read them a bedtime story. When the parents returned, I would leave, this was normally around 7:30pm. During the school holidays I would start at an earlier time, around 7:30am, I would keep the girls entertained by drawing and colouring with them, getting them involved in arts and crafts, playing in the garden, going swimming, going to the park, going to the cinema, going to day camps, taking them to friends houses for play dates, and entertaining friends who would come round for a play date and being involved in other general activities that they used to enjoy. They would continue their regular extracurricular activities and the rest of the day was the same as during school days. On occasion, I would babysit on a weekend night, watch films with the children, give them a snack and put them to bed. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with this family, they became like my own and I still keep in contact with them
