"A Little Bit About Me"...

I absolutely love children and have a wide range of experience caring for them.
My experience looking after children began in 2010 when I was asked to babysit for some local families.
In 2013, I started work at a surf school where I was responsible for groups of children and their safety in the surf. It was a challenging job, but I loved teaching children basic surf skills and thoroughly enjoyed how happy this made them!
During 2014 and for most of this year, I have been a nanny to a local family. I have found it so rewarding to be a part of this family which comprised of a 5 year old girl and a 7 year old boy. During the year the family had a new baby boy that I started looking after when he was 8 weeks old.
My role involved picking up the children from school, getting their school readers and homework done then keeping them busy until dinner. Most days would involve a walk to the park, a swim at the local beach or arranging after school play dates. When we got home I would make dinner and get them bathed and ready for bed before their mother arrived home at about 6.30pm. I absolutely loved these children and would hardly consider it work!
I am currently doing two degrees at the University of Wollongong in law and psychology. I will be at university for another 3 and a half years and would love to continue working with children during this time! When I finish university I’m hoping to still be working with children as a guardian ad litem for the court.
