We are very happy with the care and education provided by Bluebird Glen Waverley. My son enjoys school and loves the educators here. There are daily room updates and weekly individual child updates so parents are able to know what’s going on with the child in school. The toys and equipment are clean and new, and thus I believe the safety is ensured too. Overall, we love the school and will recommend to others :)

Meet the team

Meet the team

Hello, my name is Fei, and I am the Centre Manager at Bluebird Early Education Glen Waverley. I have over 10 years’ experience in the Early Childhood sector and hold a Diploma in Early Education.

I am deeply passionate about creating a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment where every child feels valued, supported, and confident to be themselves.

I believe that strong, respectful relationships are the foundation of quality early learning. I enjoy building trusting partnerships within our Service community and working closely with families to support each child’s individual learning journey.

Equally important to me is supporting and mentoring our Educators, empowering them to grow professionally and deliver high-quality education and care every day.

Together with our Team, I am committed to creating a warm, inclusive space where children are encouraged to explore, learn, and grow through meaningful experiences, and where families feel connected, supported, and confident in the care their children receive.
About the curriculum

About the curriculum

The Kindergarten program is a complete cycle of each individual child’s development. Educators see and learn the ways children take on new knowledge and adapt their teaching practices to cater for them. The environment is busy and forever changing as learning evolves. You’ll often find the Kinder children out at Forest School, where the natural environment is the teacher.

Through many literacy games, active outdoor play, and day-to-day activities, Educators strive to get each child ready for their first year of school, providing them with the emotional, physical and intellectual support.

Qualified Teachers constantly critically reflect on their curriculum, ensuring that it’s at its best for the diversity within the centre. A home away from home, where learning takes flight with the little Bluebirds.

Centre philosophy

Centre philosophy

Forest School Program - Each week the children will travel to a local national park or bushland area, where they will be able to play and explore freely, under the discrete observation of the educators.

Kindy of Kindness - Initiatives may include visits to aged care facilities, baking for the local emergency services, and fund-raising projects to assist charity groups.

Sustainability Program - By taking part in daily sustainable living practices including recycling, composting, worm farming, energy and water saving, the children develop a working understanding of how they can play a vital role in protecting the environment.

Community connections - By forging strong community ties they enable the children to develop a deep sense of belonging and connection to the world around them, construct an understanding of how society works, and begin to recognise and respect the shared values that unite us.

Technology focus - Technology is introduced through a play based approach. Educators role model and assist children to gain new knowledge and to better understand concepts through the designated computer programs.

Health & Nutrition

Health & Nutrition

The centre believes in a hands-on approach to teaching children about food, which is why cooking classes are offered as part of the curriculum.

Children are encouraged to help out where they can, whether that’s chopping fruit for smoothies or pouring them out for everyone.

Food is used as a way to teach children about identifying their needs and attending to them. Children can access drink stations and fruit bowls for a quick snack.

-----Below is a sincere review from an elder brother of a cute boy who attends Bluebird-- My little brother attends Bluebird Education Centre, and our experience has been extremely positive. It is a warm and welcoming environment where children feel safe, happy, and well supported. One of the highlights of Bluebird is the quality of the food. Each day, the children enjoy nutritious and delicious meals that are carefully prepared by a professional chef with a variety of delicacies. The centre also provides thoughtfully planned meals for children with allergies, which clearly shows the care and responsibility of the kitchen staff. The teachers at Bluebird Education Centre are kind and patient. They genuinely care about the children and always make an effort to ensure they feel comfortable and confident. As a result, my brother has formed many close friendships and enjoys spending time at the centre just as much as he does at home. In fact, he sometimes becomes upset at the weekend because he wants to return to Bluebird. In addition, Bluebird organises a variety of enjoyable events throughout the year. These include birthday celebrations and special occasions such as Christmas and Mother’s Day. Such activities create an exciting atmosphere and help children feel included and valued. Overall, Bluebird Education Centre is an excellent place for children to learn, play, and grow. I would recommend it to other families seeking a caring and nurturing childcare environment.

My son started blue bird Glen Waverley only just month ago. He is settled very well. The educators are skilled and kept us up to date on his daily activities. We have seen a big difference in His learning developments since he started with blue bird. The centre is very neat and tidy. The rooms are spacious and outdoor areas are covered giving the kids more options to explore in all weather conditions. I hope to see good things for my kid in this day care.
