Welcome to Orchard Early Learning Centre - Forestville!

Orchard Early Learning Centres offer a fresh approach to early education and care, drawing on the natural environment to inspire children to become discoverers, learners and thinkers – holistically preparing them for a life of learning and promoting wellbeing. Spread across two levels, with defined Nursery and Early Learning Centre for 116 children aged 6 week to 5 years old and a separate Preschool level dedicated specifically running a prep school program for children the year before school.

We have created a lush forest like experience filled with plants, pear, fig and apples trees, sensory gardens, sand, rocks, mud, recycled water stations and other elements from nature. These spaces invite open-ended interactions, spontaneity, risk-taking, exploration, discovery and connection with nature.

Indoors will be just as stunning, with large spacious free flowing classrooms that flow directly onto the outdoor learning environments, immersing children in our vegetable  gardens, chicken coops and farm that brings our Paddock to Plate philosophy alive. 

We have an on-site chef who will use produce from the children garden to provide 5 high quality nutritious meals per day to children.  Our chefs will provide cooking classes for children through the Stephanie Alexander kitchen garden program. And our families will have access to a range of essential parenting workshops and community education classes.  Other additions will be yoga, language classes. Lego rooms and an artist in resident program just to name a few. 

As the centre is still under construction, we are taking expressions of interest from families wishing to enrol their child. We anticipate being able to offer families tours from September 2023.
