The first time I turned up at petite my son and I were welcomed into the centre and shown through. He was even invited to join in while I chatted to the director. I was also impressed that for me to be shown through (I arrived unannounced) a staff member did not need to leave the children to do so. I specifically chose petite for my son as I wanted a centre with a school like feel. I wanted to help make the transition to school easy for my son, so I wanted a centre with a more modern feel, with a strong preschool program and a larger scale environment. I have found that when I've had a issue the director listened and I've seen change enacted, which is great as I know I've been heard. I've also started to notice new skills emerging with my son, he is starting to write and draw (he would almost never pick up a pencil before), he is asking to have books read to him and when we go to a park he will seek out other kids and introduce himself and make friends with them. These are all things I accredit to his time at petite and I feel are really important skills for him to have before going to school next year. Anne-Marie Herden
I have just visited this centre and the educators were all so helpful. The children were happily playing and it just had a nice feel. cant wait for my child to start. Lisa
