The Oaks Preschool is truly something special. It’s not just a preschool—it’s a place where children are genuinely nurtured, supported, and encouraged to thrive. Unlike many centres that feel more like daycare, The Oaks focuses on child development and school readiness. From the very beginning, it’s clear that their priority is the growth and well-being of each child.
The facilities are incredible—spacious and thoughtfully designed with a huge outdoor area, playground, trampoline, sandpit, vegetable gardens, and even chickens. It’s the kind of environment every child dreams of playing and learning in.
The educators are absolutely exceptional. Many of them have been at The Oaks for years, and you can feel the passion and dedication in everything they do. They’re not only experienced—they’re warm, compassionate, and deeply invested in every child. There’s a real sense of trust and consistency, and you know your child is in the best hands.
What really sets The Oaks apart is their commitment to preparing children for school. The educators help the kids learn important routines, write their names, take responsibility for their belongings, and build confidence in themselves. They are always there to guide and support when needed, creating a nurturing and structured environment.
They also hold parent nights to support school readiness and connect with local schools through transition programs, helping children feel confident and familiar before starting school.
They also provide regular updates through their app, which includes daily photos, insights, and the curriculum for each term. It helps us feel connected and reassured knowing what our child is learning and experiencing each day.
For our family, The Oaks is more than just a preschool. Our daughter, who has autism, is welcomed with open arms. While other preschools turned us away, The Oaks didn’t hesitate. They provided her with an incredible aide to support her development—but even more importantly, they see her. They focus on her bright personality and strengths, not just her diagnosis.
She is included in everything, just like any other child, and that kind of true inclusion means the world to us. I am forever grateful for the way they honour and celebrate who she is.
The Oaks is part of our village—our community—and I truly couldn’t do this journey without them. Their support, compassion, and belief in every child make all the difference.
