Welcome to St George Monstessori Kingsgrove
Our Kingsgrove Centre has been in operation since 2016. It is conveniently located on Beaumont Street, just off Kingsgrove Avenue and is walking distance to both Kingsgrove and Bexley North train stations. We are known in the community to provide an exceptional educational experience.
Kingsgrove uses the Montessori approach to education founded by Dr Maria Montessori. Every area of the centre has been thought out to encompass this curriculum and to develop knowledge and skills that provides the foundation of a life long love for learning.
Our core Montessori curriculum covers areas such as practical life skills, sensory development, literacy and numeracy, science, geography and art. These areas provide the best foundation as students prepare for their transition to school. To support our Montessori learning, we also follow the EYLF to enhance and to provide a holistic learning experience for each child.
Children ages three-six are provided with an extensive school readiness program. The preschool room is fitted with an interactive whiteboard, school based activities and computers to assist with preparation for School.
As part of the Montessori philosophy, our centre is passionate about sustainability and this is embedded in our program. We encourage nature play, growing and caring for the vegetable garden, collecting eggs from the chickens, learning about recycling and caring for the world around us.
At St George Montessori we provide a home-like environment and encourage family participation. We hold numerous events throughout the year and we regularly communicate with parents through emails, apps and notice boards in the foyer. We believe parent involvement is important for our Centre’s success and we encourage regular feedback.
