At Smart Little Kids, our curriculum is designed to inspire a love of learning through play, discovery, and intentional teaching. Aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF v2.0) and the National Quality Standards (NQS), our program encourages children to explore their interests, develop critical thinking, and build strong communication and problem-solving skills. Our educators carefully plan experiences that extend learning in literacy, numeracy, science, arts, and wellbeing, while remaining flexible to children’s emerging interests and developmental stages. We place a strong focus on inclusion and cultural diversity, incorporating bilingual education, Indigenous perspectives, and sustainable practices into everyday learning. The curriculum supports each child’s unique journey, empowering them to develop confidence, independence, and a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Our Kindergarten and Preschool programs are thoughtfully designed to prepare children for a smooth and confident transition to formal schooling. Led by university-trained early childhood teachers, the program combines play-based learning with intentional teaching to build literacy, numeracy, and inquiry skills in engaging and meaningful ways. Children are encouraged to explore their ideas, ask questions, and solve problems, fostering creativity and a love of learning. Alongside academic preparation, we focus heavily on developing children’s social and emotional competence, resilience, independence, and collaboration skills. Through group projects, storytelling, creative arts, and outdoor exploration, children learn to work together, respect one another, and express their individuality. Our preschool program ensures children are not only ready for the academic challenges of school but are also confident, capable, and eager learners.

Smart Little Kids offers a wide variety of programs to ensure children have access to rich, diverse, and meaningful learning opportunities. Our bilingual program introduces children to the Italian language through songs, storytelling, and cultural exchanges with an early learning centre in Italy. Our Indigenous education program includes daily Acknowledgement of Country practices, as well as storytelling, art, and collaboration with an Adelaide-based early learning centre to promote understanding of Indigenous culture. Each Wednesday, children participate in a fitness program to support health and wellbeing, and every month they enjoy incursions that provide exciting new learning experiences. For children requiring additional support, we work closely with speech and occupational therapists, with therapy sessions available onsite, and we collaborate with the NDIS to ensure inclusivity. These programs demonstrate our commitment to holistic education, ensuring every child is supported to reach their full potential.
