My two-year-old son has been attending for a few months. He seems to really love it and I feel he is in great hands with the Educators. They do a great job with the kids, the space is huge with plenty of indoor and outdoor activities and I love the complimentary muffin when I’m in a rush and no time to eat. Highly recommend.

Our daughter has been going to Imagine Werribee since she was 4 months old and has been absolutely loving it! The staff is caring, professional and super creative. I love the fact that - even from a young age - they do so many different things with the children each week. The facilities are state of the art and the communication is spot on. I genuinely feel I leave our daughter in good hands every time I drop her off. I'd highly recommend Imagine to all parents.

My son has been at Imagine for just over a month and we’re so happy with them. We get updates about the day, and photos. The staff are gorgeous, and are incredible with him. He has allergies and eczema, and the staff are all across it and I feel really comfortable that they’re taking care of him. Nikki and the staff really are lovely, and they do a fantastic job.

At Imagine Childcare and Kindergarten Werribee, Educators provide all children with an enriched, flexible, and child-initiated play-based educational program. They believe that every child has a different learning style, and they treat each child as an individual and see them as active participants in creating their own learning environment within a safe indoor/outdoor program. 

The centre believes in risky play and trusts the children in exploring their limits. Risky play can be defined as a thrilling and exciting activity that provides opportunities for challenge, testing limits, exploring boundaries, and learning about injury risk. 

The centre’s learning environment complements the play-based program, and supports children’s self-esteem, self-help skills and emotional wellbeing. The Educators encourage children to explore their world around them and explore connections to nature through dirt, water, and sand play.

The focus of the educators is to provide a secure and nurturing environment for the children so as to promote a sense of belonging. All of the educators have been with the centre since it opened, providing a sense of consistency which helps to strengthen the bonds with the children and families. 

Many educators come from diverse backgrounds, including Indigenous, Indian and Nigerian. Some are bilingual so can communicate with the children in many different languages when required.

Parents are offered a complementary barista coffee and baked treat at drop off time, which is a chance for them to chat to educators about the children’s plans for the day and to ask any questions they may have. 

The Centre Director, Nikki Parkinson, has been with the company for 10 years. She is welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, and builds and forms great relationships with the families and their children. 

The centre strives to share information, unique skills, and cultural values between Educators and families, and they support families in their parenting role by sharing knowledge and resources. The Educators are committed and undertake regular professional development, to extend their professional knowledge to ensure their practices are current within the industry.

I enjoy working at Imagine Childcare and Kindergarten Werribee. I have a strong and supportive team. My team are dedicated professionals who enjoy what they do. They inspire me each and every day. Each day is a new adventure at Imagine Werribee and I find myself growing as a Centre Director.  My passion is building strong relationships with the families at our service. I have worked in many Childcare & Kindergartens across my years in the childcare community. This centre is by far the best. Educators who go above and beyond to nurture and provide safe and enriching experiences and learning in a natural play-based environment with lots of stimulating experiences that is age appropriate for all children 0-5 years.

The Director Nikki is loyal, compassionate, understanding, welcoming and supportive to not only the Educators, to families and the children, catering for their needs/strengths and interests. I have been thrilled working here in this new centre, alongside the director, Educators, children and families, building warm, trusting and positive relationships. The centre understands that nutrition plays an important role in each child’s physical development as well as their attitudes towards healthy food.

All of the multicultural meals and snacks are prepared onsite by professional qualified chefs every day. The children work alongside the Educators to care for the centre’s vegetable patches, and these vegetables are then used in the kitchen or for cooking experiences with the children.

The Educators use meal time as an opportunity to share positive experiences around food and to help children develop social skills such as sharing and turn taking. They role model positive behaviours and attitudes, and involve the children in the menu planning.

All food allergies, intolerances, cultural requirements and family preferences are taken into account by consulting with parents when meal planning for the children.

Each of the centre’s rooms has a designated dining table where the children come to eat. Each table is well stocked with fresh fruit for the children to snack on during the day. 

Morning

Penny is ten months old and loves to start her day exploring the books and toys on the mat with her Educator. Her Dad grabs a coffee and a muffin from the centre chef before he heads off to work.

Lunchtime

Penny is enjoying some music with her friends, as her Educators are singing some nursery rhymes to the children. Soon it will be time to have a rest and recharge for the afternoon.

Penny and the other nursery children are enjoying some finger painting with their Educators. Penny goes for a yellow and green painting and her Educator hangs it up to dry in the sun.
