Great place for the little ones to start. My bloke loves it there.
The proof is in the smile. My daughter is happy to go and play with her friends and nine times out of ten she is smiling from ear to ear as I leave and she runs off for her day of fun! In four different rooms she has never had a carer she didn't connect with, which means she feels safe and has someone who listens to her and makes her feel good about being herself. She is very nearly always happy and smiling when I collect her at the end of the day.
My daughter has been going to Goodstart Bendigo since she was 7 months old. She is now 3 and a lot of the same educators are still working at the child care centre. Some of them are like family, she just loves going to spend the day with them and all her friends.
Thank you for everything you have for our family over the years. The last couple of years have been tough but the consistency of care and the communication you’ve provided has made it easier.

Amazing – Olivia has really enjoyed her time at Goodstart. The educators treat her exactly as they would their own children.

I want to thank you all for the amazing support throughout the years and during difficult times for not only myself personally through my separation and parenting struggles but through the challenges we have all faced with COVID-19. I cannot begin to explain the difference the team has made to mine and my children’s lives.
Thank you so much for the endless care and education you provide for our girls. It’s a lovely feeling dropping the kids in the morning and knowing that they’re happy.

Our vision is for Australia’s children to have the best possible start in life and our purpose is to ensure children have the learning, development and wellbeing outcomes they need for school and life.
Our Goodstarters are what set us apart - they are guided by our principles and inspired to set new benchmarks for a child's learning and development in the years that count most - the first five years.

The centre's inclusive environment fosters a strong sense of belonging, embracing children living with disability, trauma and from vulnerable backgrounds. Calming mindfulness activities such as yoga classes and breathing technique lessons teach children how to self-calm so they can connect with themselves, educators, and other children.
The children develop a strong sense of community belonging through regular visits to local attractions such as the library, op-shop and Golden Dragon Museum.
Goodstart Bendigo has developed educational programs and practices in line with the Early Years Learning Framework. The centre offers a funded 3 and 4-year-old kindergarten program. Qualified Early Childhood Teachers work with each child to develop an individual learning plan and set individualised learning goals, ensuring each child is given the attention they need to reach their full potential.
A love of nature and the environment is nurtured through a unique Bush Kinder outdoor program where children have the opportunity each week to travel to a local nature reserve and spend 6 hours outdoors, learning about nature. AUSLAN key word signs are used as an alternate communication method.
I am extremely passionate about the early years and being an advocate for children. I enjoy working alongside families and within our community to assist in providing children with better educational opportunities, the ability to define their own possibilities and allowing them the freedom to explore, investigate and discover their world.
The team I am fortunate to work with shares my passion for seeing children meet their potential. They are dedicated, professional, experienced and highly qualified.

In January 2012 the National Quality Framework (NQF) came into effect across Australia.
The purpose of the NQF is to improve and standardise the quality of child care through a range of measures including better staff to child ratios, higher staff qualifications and an assessment and rating system designed to promote continuous improvement.
Under the NQF child care services are assessed and rated against the National Quality Standards (NQS).
The NQS measures the quality of early childhood education and care in Australia. It will cover
most long day care, family day care, preschool/kindergarten and outside school hours care services.
Under these standards child care services will be assessed and rated against the seven quality areas, 18 standards and 58 elements that make up the NQS.
