Our experience with KU James Cahill has superseded all expectations. Both our daughters have benefited greatly from the wonderful environment created for them to safely learn about themselves and their world. The educators have consistently worked hard to help my daughters feel secure and supported at preschool, this has allowed their confidence to grow, try new experiences and relate to their peers. The style in which the educators communicate with the children and parents is friendly and respectful. The children always come first and we as parents have been kept well informed of our child’s progress, plans, activities and procedures relating to life at preschool. This transparent communication and inclusiveness has encouraged a supportive preschool community to form and lasting friendships develop. We have also attended a parenting course run by the Director to help parents better understand the framework of the Circle of Security and how to practically implement this at home. This has helped change the way we relate to our daughters and has helped to created positive change in our home. Entrusting your child’s care to another is difficult for some of us to hand over, but seeing my daughters grow in their confidence and learning to trust their educators at KU James Cahill preschool has brought great joy for me as a parent and has created a firm foundation for school and developing relationships. We are most grateful for the dedication of the staff at KU James Preschool and the impact they have had on our girls. I highly recommend this wonderful preschool.
My daughter has been attending KU James Cahill for the last 6 months or so, her older sister attended a KU in the city for 4 yeas so I feel I can offer a review based on experience. I can say with 100% honesty that KU James Cahill is the best experience of daycare I have had, my daughter absolutely loves it. My experience with my oldest daughter was heartbreak dropping her off each day as there wasn't any structure to saying goodbye, just hope that her favourite teacher would be there. At KU James Cahill they have a researched methodology that allows for parents, children and carers to say goodbye in a caring and nurturing environment that ensures the child knows who is taking care of them. Dropping her off is an enjoyable experience and when I pick her up it is obvious she has had a brilliant day playing outside or inside, being creative, learning new things. The staff are very nurturing and caring people, and it is clear they are in charge and the children are learning everyday by play, creative tasks, reading stories, singing and getting dirty (I particularly love this as the outdoor area is fantastic). There is a rich diversity of activities and even when she is not there my daughter talks about "her friends" at school, referring often to her teachers. This has been a vastly different experience to daycare with my oldest daughter and I can't recommend it highly enough.
