We have been so incredibly happy with our experience at Nido Essendon. Our son initially found the transition to daycare quite difficult, but the educators have been absolutely amazing in helping him settle in at his own pace. They have been so patient, caring and understanding, and have taken the time to get to know him and his interests, which has made such a difference.

It has been so lovely to see the progress he has made — he now looks forward to going to daycare and even tells us “have fun at daycare” when we drop him off! Seeing him become more comfortable, confident and involved has been so special, and we really feel that the educators have played a huge part in that.

The food prepared by the chef is also fantastic. The meals look fresh, nutritious and delicious, and it’s clear that a lot of care goes into the menu and preparation.

Every educator we have encountered has been wonderful, and we have always felt that our son is genuinely cared for and supported. We couldn’t be happier with Nido Essendon and are so grateful to the whole team for making what was initially a challenging transition such a positive experience for our family.

Thank you to all the educators and the kitchen team for everything you do! ❤️

We are very grateful for Nido Essendon and the amazing care they have given our daughter Amanda for over a year. She has learned so much, grown in confidence, and always feels happy and safe there. The educators are caring, friendly, and genuinely supportive. It gives us so much peace of mind knowing she is in such good hands. Definitely a 5-star experience!

We have had such a positive experience with this kindergarten. The educators are incredibly caring, supportive, and genuinely invested in each child’s learning and wellbeing. They create a warm, welcoming environment where children feel safe, happy, and excited to attend each day. The facilities are also fantastic—clean, well-maintained, and filled with engaging resources that encourage learning, creativity, and play. It’s clear that a lot of thought goes into creating a space where children can thrive. I couldn’t be happier with the care and education provided here and would highly recommend this kindergarten to any family looking for a nurturing and high-quality early learning environment.

Musical Minds has partnered with Nido Essendon to bring Music Education to the wider community. Each week the Musical Minds teacher, who specialises in music for the younger years, brings a live music education program to the children at Nido Essendon. The children and the educators at Nido Essendon are involved in the sessions, joining in the singing, dancing with the children and learning to play the instruments. It is wonderful to hear how engaged the children are in these sessions as we connect music, the world around us, First Nations culture and the wider community through music education. A huge thank you to Nido Essendon for understanding the benefits that Music Education has in all areas of child's social, emotional and physical development. Thank you for advocating for more music education in a child's life. Tanya - Director of Musical Minds

We’ve been attending this centre for over two years now, since my child was just 5 months old. It truly feels like a second home for my child. Even during holidays, my child asks to go to school every morning, which says a lot as a parent and makes me so happy. We really appreciate how caring and dedicated the educators are. Especially Hardeep always welcomes my child with such warmth, Vy consistently provides fun and engaging activities, and Kiara thoughtfully shares updates about the day and genuinely cares about my child’s wellbeing. All of the educators and the management team are incredibly friendly and welcoming — they always greet us with a smile, creating such a positive and comforting environment. We’re so grateful to be part of this centre. Thank you Nido Essendon!

Essendon Nido is a fantastic centre. My kids have been going to the centre for 4 years now and I can honestly say it has never been in better shape! All the educators are great people. Special thanks to Mikayla, Jae, Bianca, Vy and Jenny!

We’ve been attending this centre for ~ 4 months now. The centre, especially the common areas are often dirty, glass and high touch areas are not wiped frequently to control any infections such as HFM and gastro. It’s visible dirt and it makes you feel gross dropping off or picking up. I’ve mentioned to the staff multiple times and they’ve said that the cleaners come twice a week. I’ve even started taking a wipe to clean bits as I walk through. Transitions and orientations were met with more lip service than actual service delivery as the systems we were told would happen we haven’t seen all of yet. And the staff broke the golden rule of child care workers- don’t tell parents that a child has walked before they tell you they have! This demonstrates a lack of a culture of family first care feeding through the company when this isn’t policy.

Our daughter has been going to this centre for almost a year now, and it genuinely feels like a real community. From the induction through to the trial days, the experience has been smooth and positive and most importantly, our little one absolutely loves it. She’s built great connections with several educators, and it really shows at drop-off and pick-up when she’s all smiles. We really appreciate the collaborative approach between educators and parents. Every few months we set new goals together, which helps guide her learning and development. The centre’s app is also fantastic it’s so nice being able to check in on her day and see photos of what she’s been up to. Recently our daughter needed glasses, and the educators couldn’t have been more supportive. They even ran a little session to help explain it to the other kids, which meant a lot to us! Highly recommend Essendon Nido

As a first-time mum, I can’t express enough how grateful I am for the team at Nido Essendon. From the very first day, they’ve made every drop-off feel calm and reassuring, I’ve never once doubted that my daughter is in safe, caring hands. She’s now 18 months old and absolutely loves going to “school.” Every afternoon she comes home happy, clean, and full of smiles. Each week I notice new things she’s learned, little words, gestures, and routines, and I can clearly see the care and effort the educators put into helping her grow and develop. What I appreciate most is how genuinely warm and attentive the staff are. They know her personality, what she enjoys, and how to comfort her when she needs it. That kind of trust means the world to me as a parent. Thank you to everyone at Nido Essendon for creating such a beautiful, nurturing environment, you’ve made this whole journey of motherhood feel that bit easier and a lot more joyful.
