Guardian Childcare & Education Aspley provides an engaging and safe environment for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. Through a project-based learning curriculum, children grow and develop at their own pace and with a focus on their interests and strengths.
The beautiful outdoor space and the open playground have various choices for the children to explore and learn. Along with age-specific outdoor toys, the children can help with the vegetable gardens, play in the mud pit, and help care for the pet budgies. Resident bees and a native Australian garden are key features that open exciting conversations between educators and children.
The Queensland Government offers funding to provide families up to 15 hours of free kindergarten a week. The funding off sets the fees for children who turn four years old by 30 June in the year before they attend primary school. This support is in addition to the Child Care Subsidy and can help to lower your out-of-pocket fees.

Programs
Programs
The centre programs revolve around the interests and skills of the children. The educators take a personalised approach to get to know each child, their needs and what interests them most. They then tailor the program to match.
With a mix of structured and unstructured play, the educators embed important foundational learning and skills throughout the day. What may seem like fun and play to the children or even to an outside observer, the educators carefully plan activities with real learning benefits. Whether it’s counting the chairs to put out at lunch or practising social skills through dress up play, the children are always growing, learning and developing.
Community is also a strong focus in the program. The educators make the most of their community connections to plan engaging incursions and excursions for the children to enjoy. This enhances their sense of belonging as they develop an understanding of the world around them.
Meet the team
Meet the team
The team at the centre is made up of a mix of accredited Teachers, experienced Lead Educators and passionate Educational Leaders. No matter the role they play in the team, each and every person is dedicated to nurturing and supporting the children in their care.
Unique to Guardian Childcare & Education is the role of Baby Ambassador. It is the Baby Ambassador’s role to get to know the youngest children at the centre and ensure their needs are met each and every day. They also liaise with the families to give added peace of mind that their baby is happy and well during the day.
The team is the heart of the centre. Each member is valued for the individual skills they bring to the team and the contribution they make. For this reason, staff turnover is low ensuring a consistent experience for the children.
Parent communication and involvement
Parent communication and involvement
At Guardian Childcare & Education, parents are invited to be directly involved in their children’s time at the centre. Parents can join their children for breakfast when they drop them off or come in at other times to share meals. They are also invited to join the children on excursions or at other events.
In the centre, parents will find Visible Learning Displays. This helps to track the children’s progress and provides a connection point to spark conversations between parents and educators. Parents and educators also use the StoryPark app for communication with the educators providing regular updates via this platform.

Our son grew such a bond so quickly and fell in love so fast. We couldn't have asked for better teachers or a better experience. We recommend them always. Such a sad day when we had to move! This daycare has been one of the worst daycares my child has attended. They proceed to keep the children outside almost all day constantly, regardless of weather conditions. The curriculum contains absolutely nothing that toddlers need to learn besides watching videos on a tiny laptop that aren’t even educational. If I wanted my child to watch videos, I would just keep her at home. I am not paying for a babysitter, I am paying for my child to have an education. Toddlers should be learning simple math, and should be engaged by music or art; unfortunately this daycare lacks resources for children as well, causing them to struggle with learning new things daily. Unfortunately, I had also witnessed an educator grabbing a child by the arm and pulled him with such force which I thought was completely unnecessary and could have resulted in a different outcome. This daycare also lacks communication between educators; things go missing quite easily and still have not turned up and they never have the correct ratio from educator to child for hours in the morning. Quite disappointing. I have told the main staff that my child has eczema and to keep her indoors most of the day, instead they disregarded my request and my child came home covered in irritated eczema. Being a young mum, I also received quite a few judgmental looks from some of the educators. This daycare has caused my child to learn “I’m fine” and has now made my child confused about her gender. I am quite exasperated with this childcare. I am also concerned with this daycare upholding bond money, as it has now been 4 weeks with no communication on what’s actually happening with it.
