ECTARC The Basin Early Education and Care Service

We are a high quality, multipurpose service offering a long day care program 8.30am-4.30pm which is eligible for child care benefit (CCB) and child care rebate (CCR) and we also offer a separate state government funded preschool program that does not attract CCB & CCR as it is state government funded. Nappies and healthy lunchboxes are supplied by our families. The long day care program runs for most of the year except for the Christmas close down period and the preschool program runs from 9.15 am-3.15 pm, school terms only.
Our service is set in a natural setting with climbing trees & grass and is conveniently located next to the Sanctuary Point Public School. We recently went through the assessment and ratings process and received an "Exceeding" rating across all quality areas. We enjoy community involvement in our service and the support of our community which enables us to enjoy excursions and a good reputation within the community. The educators at our service are all diploma level qualified and above. We are a small service with 28 children per day. We encourage families to make an appointment for an orientation between 8.30-9.00 am or 2.30-4.00 pm where the orientation takes about half an hour and provides us with an opportunity to meet you and your child before they start at the service. We pride ourselves on our excellent programs, working with our Koori families, providing programs like Kids Matter and Munch and Move and ensuring sustainability is also an important part of our educational practices. We work closely with other organisations to achieve the best outcomes for the children in our care. Noah's Ark is a service that we work with to support our children with additional needs.
