I have moved my child around a few centres to stumble across this childcare recommended by a stranger. My child is blooming under the incredible care, planned activities and warmth of the ladies taking care of them. Also, I have comfort knowing that it is only females as permanent staff. Thank you MNCC team 🤩

Maroubra Neighbourhood Children’s Centre (MNCC) is truly exceptional. It’s a community-based, not-for-profit centre where all fees and fundraising go back into the children, which really shows in the quality of care. We found it through a neighbour who worked there and said she’d never experienced a daycare like it — and after 1.5+ years, we couldn’t be happier. The educators are amazing, there’s full transparency, and you can be as involved as you like through the committee. It feels like a real community, not a service. Plus, being right in front of Maroubra Beach is such a bonus for after-pickup playtime. Highly recommend!

Such a warm and welcoming centre. Our son has been in the Gumnuts room and absolutely loves it! Can not recommend it highly enough.

Maroubra Neighbourhood Children's Centre is a wonderful non-for-profit centre. It’s small and nurturing, with only 8 children in the babies’ room, 10 in the toddlers’ room, and 10 in the preschool room. Some of the staff have worked there for over 10 years, and highly qualified, plus additional educators above the recommended ratios. My son attended for almost two years, and I feel confident dropping him off at MNCC. The educators are genuinely lovely with the children and take great care of them. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

MNCC is a special place that can’t be recommended enough. The educators are lovely, warm and care so genuinely for all the kids. Somehow they manage to go above and beyond for your child, even while caring for other children and doing one of the toughest jobs out there! Our child has been attending for the last 7 months, and she loves it and “talks” about the educators and her friends all the time. We previously attended another daycare and after being at MNCC, the difference is night and day in terms of the care she receives. We are very happy, the best choice we made.

About Maroubra Neighbourhood Children's Centre

Maroubra Neighbourhood Children's Centre Co-operative Limited (MNCC) was established in May 1982 by a group of parents who were in search of quality childcare.

Funding from DoCS enabled them to buy and establish a multi-purpose service for local residents.

We are a registered Cooperative, whose management comprises of a seven person Parent Management Committee. All families are invited to participate in the management process through our monthly parent meetings.

Our Centre is relatively small, catering for 26 children each day aged between six weeks and school entry. This enables us to provide a warm, relaxed and inviting environment that fosters quality interactions and a family atmosphere.

We have developed policies and procedures that assist in the smooth running of the Centre. These are available for viewing at any time. Our “Policies and Procedures” file is conveniently located in the Reception/Sign In area.

Our Parent Handbook is designed to help you and your family settle in to the Centre. Should you wish to discuss or clarify any matters please feel free to contact myself or any member of our staff.
