Opened in 1978, Camberwell Kindergarten & Childcare Centre (CKCC) is a not for profit, community managed, kindergarten and childcare centre for children aged 3 months up to school age.
The centre is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment to encourage each child to develop their emotional, physical, intellectual, creative, and communication abilities. They value the uniqueness of each child, and appreciate the developmental differences and diverse family values. CKCC provides a culturally diverse program that reflects both individual and group needs.
The fantastic indoor and outdoor facilities at CKCC provide an environment where children can play safely, discover, learn, crate, improvise and imagine. They conduct additional weekly activities which are included in fees that complement each room's programme. Currently they feature music activities by Mini Maestros, Evol sports and French lessons.

I sent my 2.5 yo to 3 different centers around this area and he enjoyed going there since when he was little, never had issue dropping him off (he cried badly at 2 other centers). This community run center is helping the parents and kids to achieve the best at the fair price, not profit driven!! The facilities are decent. I also like the activities they initiated all the time. In January 2012 the National Quality Framework (NQF) came into effect across Australia.
The purpose of the NQF is to improve and standardise the quality of child care through a
range of measures including better staff to child ratios, higher staff qualifications
and an assessment and rating system designed to promote continuous improvement.
Under the NQF child care services are assessed and rated against the National Quality Standards (NQS).
The NQS measures the quality of early childhood education and care in Australia. It will cover
most long day care, family day care, preschool/kindergarten and outside school hours care services.
Under these standards child care services will be assessed and rated against the
seven quality areas, 18 standards and 58 elements that make up the NQS.
