Welcome to Ashfield Early Learning Centre

Ashfield Early Learning Centre provides enriching care and learning programs for children up to 6 years old. The skilled and committed team recognise that the first five years are the most critical period of a child’s life. Educators embrace each child’s uniqueness to help them develop a positive sense of self and community.

Centre spaces are warm and nurturing, to ensure children feel safe, secure and valued. Interiors are bright and homely, with colourful furniture, art on the walls, and a rich array of toys, books and games. In line with the play-based learning approach, children have free time to pursue their interests, building important cognitive, social and motor skills through play.

The centre has an inviting outdoor space with wide lawns, vegetable gardens, bike paths, sand pits and age-appropriate equipment including a mini trampoline and climbing frames. Educators present stimulating outdoor activities as part of the Get Moving program, designed to support physical and gross motor development.

The centre is situated in a residential street in Sydnehy’s Inner West, convenient to bus and train routes. Why not book a tour of this welcoming and homely centre today?

Ashfield Early Learning Centre aims to provide the best start for every child with nurturing and stimulating programs that support physical, social, emotional, cognitive, creative and moral growth. Children learn at their own pace with guidance and support.

Creative Program

The creative program fosters self-expression and supports children’s learning and development with a range of activities including imaginative role play, storytelling, drawing, painting, sculpture, drama, music and movement.

Early Years Learning Framework

The Early Years Learning Framework supports children’s sense of identity, connectedness, wellbeing, communication and confidence. Children take part in engaging, play-based learning developed in response to children’s ideas, interests, culture, strengths and abilities.

Literacy and Numeracy program

The program helps children build literacy and numeracy skills through the use of appropriate vocabulary and play-based resources and learning environments.

Healthy Habits Program

Educators integrate the Munch & Move into centre activities to support healthy habits. This includes a fun, play-based approach to healthy eating and physical activity that spans sport, games and activities around natural foods, recycling and wellbeing.

School Readiness Program

Designed to help children make a successful transition to kindergarten, the school readiness program lays the  foundation for early literacy and numeracy, and focuses on children’s ability to manage conflict and emotions.
