Welcome to Guardian Childcare & Education Taringa, a modern and vibrant daycare centre in inner west Brisbane.

Our early childhood education programs are focused on play-based learning, and our team of qualified Teachers and Educators provide a nurturing environment for children aged six weeks to six years of age to discover the world in a safe and secure way.

Our Taringa child care centre is conveniently located for families in the surrounding suburbs Toowong, Tarragindi, St Lucia, Indooroopilly, and Chapel Hill. Our engaging resource-rich environments include:

  • Passionate Educators who focus on building strong relationships with children and families
  • Bright, vibrant learning spaces full of resources designed to inspire curiosity, fun, and a sense of belonging
  • Shaded outdoor areas, a wooden fort, areas for water play and natural gardens; creating an exciting and stimulating environment for children to discover their world in a safe and secure way.
  • Included programs such as Joy of Reading, Cooking, Outdoor Learning, Out & About Community Excursions, and Sustainability, with daily learning experiences designed to support your child’s development and growth
  • For babies, the Centre provides nappies, SPF 50+ sunscreen, high-quality formula and bed linen.

Our on-site cook provides five nutritious meals daily; children have their own piazza where they can eat and socialise with each other.

Our team of passionate early childhood Educators and degree-qualified Teachers deliver an advanced play-based and nature-inspired curriculum, as well as a leading, two-year funded to help prepare your child for the exciting transition to school.

Programs

The centre programs revolve around the interests and skills of the children. The educators take a personalised approach to get to know each child, their needs and what interests them most. They then tailor the program to match.

With a mix of structured and unstructured play, the educators embed important foundational learning and skills throughout the day. What may seem like fun and play to the children or even to an outside observer, the educators carefully plan activities with real learning benefits. Whether it’s counting the chairs to put out at lunch or practising social skills through dress up play, the children are always growing, learning and developing.

Community is also a strong focus in the program. The educators make the most of their community connections to plan engaging incursions and excursions for the children to enjoy. This enhances their sense of belonging as they develop an understanding of the world around them.
