Welcome to Child's Play Tarneit

Welcome to our Tarneit childcare centre, located at 642 Tarneit Road. We’re proud to provide a nurturing and fun environment for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years old. Child's Play Tarneit has been a long-standing early learning centre in the heart of Tarneit. Our dedicated management and educator team have worked together long-term, building strong, lasting connections with families and supporting children as they grow from babies through to school.

Our purpose-built centre offers a play-based curriculum designed to help children understand their role in the world and become lifelong learners. We have a beautiful indoor-outdoor environment with four open spaces for your child to play, develop and thrive! Paired with the latest research in early childhood development, we provide your child with the resources and tools to progress both their physical and emotional development.

At Child’s Play ELC, our philosophy is simple: every child matters. We believe each child is unique, capable and deserving of care, respect and opportunities to thrive. Our centres are guided by values of inclusion, belonging, kindness and respect, creating a place where families feel supported and children feel at home.


As immigrants from the UK, our founders Sam and Ian Johnson came to see childcare as an extension of family. After many years working in education, they dreamed of creating their own centres where children are truly nurtured and families feel deeply connected. That vision lives on today, in welcoming spaces that feel like a second home and give every child the chance to grow into a confident, compassionate learner.
