About the Curriculum
About the Curriculum
Our Educators support young children during this rapid period of growth and change through nurturing and responsive relationships. Our educators ensure that children’s individual needs for sleeping, eating, active and quiet play are met on time, every day.
Our environments have been strategically designed to allow Toddlers to learn, develop and explore, supporting their ever increasing sense of curiosity. Independence skills and choices are a key part of the day, building to a positive approach to learning and trying.
Our Educators support our Preschoolers to learn more about the world around them, and their impact on others Increased language skills leads to greater collaboration in play, and a greater understanding of differences.
Our Transition to School Program is designed to develop learning dispositions, providing a fluid transition into Early Stage One of the Australian School Curriculum. Increased social and emotional confidence supports healthy risk taking, making predictions and ongoing resilience.
Health and Nutrition
Health and Nutrition
At Young Academics, we believe the first five years of a child’s life are critical for establishing healthy eating habits, exploring new foods, and meeting essential nutritional needs to support growth and development. Good nutrition not only enhances physical health but also boosts a child’s well-being, self-confidence, and focus.
We’ve developed our unique Nutrition Program in collaboration with a qualified nutritionist. This program is designed to help children understand the importance of healthy eating, hygiene, and physical activity. We encourage children to actively participate in meal preparation and serving, fostering a hands-on approach to learning about nutrition.
Our carefully crafted seasonal menu, which rotates every four weeks, is designed to meet 50% of your child’s daily nutritional requirements. It includes a variety of nourishing foods such as vegetables, fruits, lean meats, fish, chicken, dairy products, and more, ensuring children receive a balanced diet that supports their growth and development.
Kindergarten/Preschool Programs
Kindergarten/Preschool Programs
At Young Academics, our Transition to School Program is a comprehensive, carefully designed pathway that prepares children for the exciting journey into formal education. We understand that this is a major milestone, and our program focuses on equipping children with the academic, social, and emotional skills they need for a smooth transition.
Our dedicated educators work closely with each child, providing tailored support to ensure they feel confident and emotionally ready for the next step in their learning journey. We focus on building essential skills such as problem-solving, communication, and teamwork, while also fostering independence, resilience, and a love for learning.
Through a combination of structured learning, interactive play, and hands-on experiences, we help children develop both academically and socially, so they feel prepared not just for the classroom, but for the social dynamics of school life as well.
At Young Academics, we take pride in setting children up for a seamless and positive transition into school, laying the foundation for both academic success and personal growth that will last a lifetime.
Parent communication and involvement
Parent communication and involvement
At Young Academics, we believe that strong partnerships between families and educators are fundamental to a child’s early learning journey. We prioritise open, consistent, and transparent communication with parents to ensure that every child’s individual needs, interests, and development are well supported.
Daily updates are shared through our secure online platform, giving families real-time insights into their child’s learning experiences, routines, and achievements. This allows parents to stay connected with what’s happening at the centre, while also opening up opportunities for meaningful conversations at home.
We actively invite parent involvement through events, learning celebrations, centre activities, and cultural experiences, because we know that children thrive when there is a shared commitment to their growth and wellbeing. Families are always welcome to share feedback, ideas, or simply spend time in our learning environments.
Whether it's during the daily drop-off, a parent-educator meeting, or a centre-wide celebration, our team is committed to building relationships based on trust, respect, and collaboration.

Not recommended! This facility is not safe for young children who are still learning to walk. The outdoor play area has large, hard structural pillars placed in open areas where toddlers play. My daughter, while still unsteady on her feet, hit her head badly on these pillars twice. Despite raising this issue multiple times with management and requesting that staff pay closer attention to the younger children during outdoor play, nothing has really been done. The response from center management was dismissive, simply stating that they are not going to do anything to secure the pillars to prevent this from happening again and it’s my 20 months old fault that she is still WOBBLY! There has been a clear lack of care or accountability from the management. When it comes to early childhood care, safety should never be optional. Unfortunately, this center has failed in that most basic responsibility. Read more

From the moment we walked in, I felt confident that my child was in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. The staff are incredibly warm, professional, and genuinely care about each child’s well-being and development. The daily activities are thoughtfully planned to promote learning through play, and I’ve seen so much growth in my child’s confidence, social skills, and curiosity. They always come home excited to share what they’ve learned and experienced that day. Communication with parents is excellent – we always receive updates, photos, and feedback, which gives me peace of mind while I’m at work. The facility is clean, well-organized, and full of engaging materials and toys. Young Academic Childcare has truly become like a second home for our family. I highly recommend it to any parent looking for a place where their child will be loved, supported, and encouraged to thrive. Read more
