Programs
Programs
The centre provides challenging and enriching programs that help children build important school readiness skills, whilst also fostering identity, connectedness, wellbeing, active learning and communication.
The team ensures that all children feel safe, secure and welcome, by incorporating cultural diversity into centre programs. Educators aim to foster in each child an awareness and acceptance of cultural diversity through books, music, cooking, activities, singing, clothing and games.
Early Childhood Education
The centre has created a tailored Early Childhood Education program that reflects the Early Years Learning Framework. Educators listen to children’s aspirations and respond to their curiosity, with programs that meet individual needs, personal interests and learning styles.
The children participate in a vibrant range of regular activities including language, music, yoga, fitness and dance lessons as well as regular incursions and excursions that help to bring learning to life. Our educators thoughtfully plan celebrations that honour and explore diverse cultural events, helping children develop empathy, respect, and global awareness. To foster a love for reading, both within our centre and the wider community, Kindy Place also proudly hosts a Street Library — inspiring children to explore the joy of books and share stories with others
School Readiness
The School Readiness program helps children from 4 to 5 years to develop the essential skills needed before starting school. The flexible and holistic program recognises diverse cultures and backgrounds and it incorporates family input as children’s first teachers.
The program includes literacy, numeracy and technology. Very importantly, it helps children develop communication skills, a sense of identity and independence, and a positive attitude to learning.

Meet the team
At Kindy Place Early Learning, every member of the qualified and skilled team is committed to delivering an exceptional learning experience for children. Team members bring unique skills to support children and to ensure that every child feels safe, nurtured and inspired. As part of this we are proud to have many of our educators share their talents and unique backgrounds with the children through language lessons (Japanese) and music sessions.
Centre Director, Kirsty Roberts, has over 18 years in Early Childhood Education, having started as an Assistant Educator she recently obtained her Graduate Diploma of Early Childhood Teaching. Watching children learn and grow is her passion and she truly believes that every educator has the power to make a positive impact on the lives of the children they teach.
Kirsty is supported by educators who each hold or are currently obtaining childcare qualifications, including Certificate III in Childcare, Diploma in Early Childhood, Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood and Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood.
The centre commits to ongoing professional development. Every member of the team also holds a current Blue Card, First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Training certificate.
About the curriculum
About the curriculum
The curriculum at Kindy House Early Learning has been thoughtfully designed in alignment with Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and guided by the principles of the National Quality Framework (NQF). Through a holistic, nature-inspired and play-based learning approach we support each child to learn at their own pace in their own way.
Our educators use real-life and authentic tools to support and extend the children’s learning and development and ensure they are creating experiences that spark curiosity, build skills and make the learning meaningful. From planting in our garden to exploring the books in our Street Library, we encourage children to engage in hands-on activities that connect them to their world and instil lifelong learning.
For children up to 5 years old, the centre has dedicated spaces where children receive age-appropriate care and learning. Each room follows a tailored curriculum that reflects the needs and interests of the age group:
• Nursery
• Toddler
• Junior Kindy
• Pre-Kindy
• Kindergarten
Nursery - from birth to 15 months old
The homely, nursery space features safe and comfortable furnishing in line with the Hygge (hue-gah) philosophy, designed to create feelings of cosiness, warmth, and togetherness. This helps nurture babies’ curiosity and physical development.
Toddlers - from 12 months to 2 years old
The learning environment responds to the toddler's natural curiosity and energy. The light-filled and open space and large yard give children the chance to explore, ask questions and follow their inquisitiveness. Toddlers have access to educational toys, games and equipment and fun programs that give them the freedom to be, become, and belong.
Junior Kindy - from 2 years old to 3 years old
The focus at this age is on creating enchanting and inspiring environments where children can touch, feel, see and engage with objects and natural materials, allowing them to wonder, hypothesise and problem solve. The curriculum includes art programs that encourage self expression, imagination and creativity.
Pre Kindy - from 3 years old to 4 years old
From age 3 to 4, educators help children learn through exploration, discussion and collaboration. With enriching environments, a wide range of resources and exciting programs including language and science, children have the chance to explore, ask questions and learn through fun, imaginative play.
Kindy - from 4 years old to 5 years old
Our Kindergarten room offers an Approved Queensland Kindergarten Program delivered by qualified early childhood teachers, aligned with the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG) to support school readiness through play-based, intentional learning experiences.
This beautiful room features a wide range of resources to stimulate the mind, and encourage children to become confident and independent learners. The holistic school readiness curriculum includes dance classes, a bush kindy program, physical education and class excursions. Educators also work with local primary schools to familiarise children with kindergarten and their new teachers.
Parent communication and involvement
Parent communication and involvement
At Kindy Place Early Learning, we believe strong, respectful relationships are the foundation of a happy and confident child. That’s why we work in close partnership with families, recognising you as your child’s first and most important teacher.
We warmly welcome parents and carers to be actively involved in centre life — whether that’s chatting with educators about your child’s learning and interests, sharing insights into their needs, or simply popping in to say hello.
We also love to celebrate the rich diversity of our families, and invite parents, grandparents, and relatives to share their culture, stories, and traditions with the children. These meaningful connections help create an authentic sense of belonging, identity, and community for every child in our care.

My children have been attending Kindy Place now for over a year and I honestly could not speak more highly of this centre. The director, Kirsty, is amazing! Shes very involved and is easy to talk to and all the teachers are the same. My son has had a few challenges this year and the daycare have been incredibly supportive and involved in getting the extra support for him that we have needed. I could not recommend this daycare any more if I tried. Read more
